Yes , I wanted a black date submariner; story short I end up buying the blue black bay, after a couple of months I got the call for the submariner and got it ( pure luck) plot twist I use my black bay more, I feel it’s my first expensive watch and just love it. And me saying so casually that I went to the AD and got it … I basically had to control any type of spending for a while
I say, make the best of it. This is your chance to really get to know the AD’s staff create some type of relationship talk to the manager and tell him/her that you will let that slide because you trust them. Before you go you look at the manager in the eyes with an almost joking tone say “ this bumps me up on the list for that Daytona right ? “ laugh a little and thank them. Now they know you, it will be easier to get one of these watches
