I'd once lied about how I'm socially awkward and shy because I was trying to figure out what watch he was wearing. I looked like a blue Rolex Yacht-master but I can't see the crown. I didn't want to be rude and ask him if he is wearing a fake one. I even tried a left-hand shake and lied that I was a leftie and how I'd hurt my right hand.
Don’t travel on planes much but I work at a hospital and all the docs and executives are into watches.. you could just guess how much they make on average by the watch on their wrist.. Most of the ice breakers is by complimenting on the watch..
Well I don't fly much, but I do watch spot! I find it sad some when I see a black face and think oh yeah - 'smart' watch and keep walking. As for a striking model, it becomes a talking point for me, esp since I will have some interesting too - personal opinion - but it will generally have a back story of some kind. When you are a collector, or an enthusiast, it's hard for me not to become involved!

Ohhhh yeah baby! I’m always looking. My first watch ever was a swatch, my second an invicta.
Very dangerous line of sight, that one
With this watch the crew probably had to move luggage and passengers around to rebalance the plane.
If you ever go to Japan and ride the train during rush hour. You get nothing but eye candy.

I’m always looking to see what’s on someone’s wrist. Airport, the train, bus, at work, in the street. On tv!
Best part about flying coach is wrist-checking everyone in first class.
