It makes sense to keep the Monaco. I just got my Monaco. It is an iconic watch that should be kept. I doubt I'll ever sell mine and I'll wear it all the time.

It has to be my Tag Monaco. I wasn’t expecting to see it on the cruise ship. I was as expecting to get the Omega Seamaster, but it kept calling to me. I don’t regret it at all. I’m officially in love.

Regardless of what watch it is, it is now a symbol of your interaction with him and a prop for a heartwarming story. I’d keep it and place it in a prime spot in my watch case.
