I do all of the cooking at home except for the holidays, which my wife likes to take care of. Her preference for the holidays is slow-cooked leg of lamb (9 hours this year) with coconut-roasted potatoes and veggies, as she would do at home in Ireland. I added a Parmesan Farrato as an additional side, and we paired the meal with an Italian table wine. Everything was delicious 🤤

I only see one watch. Food and a Watch is more fitting.

10lbs of Korean bacon, 10lbs of ribs, and a gallon of Sapporo to help flush out the arteries🍻

Here's what's on our table every Christmas. All the crab you can eat. Followed by sushi and rolls made with the leftover crab and some fish pulled from the freezer tomorrow or the next day.

Looks like a Shabu-Shabu setup for dinner? Love it!

Hey Kevin! Looks great!

I had a few things going for Christmas: Spanish chicken with white rice and garlic, with a lentil bean dish with chorizo. 2nd: Mojo Roasted Pork with white rice and black Cuban beans. And Eggs Benedict Florentine for breakfast.

Banh Xeo (kinda like a Vietnamese omelette)

Yep I know what that is. Filled with shrimp or bean sprouts. Put it inside the lettuce, dip into fish sauce, eat…and repeat. Delicious.

·

No pictures, but I had my mom’s homemade chicken and noodles.

·

Love hot pot and yes nothing better than a family meal with a fine time piece on the wrist.

I had to choose between making the long drive to see my Mom or having a proper meal so of course I chose Mom. I ended up grabbing Del Taco on the way home since they had their drive thru open for Christmas. Sad little meal but their strawberry shakes aren't bad. At least I got to see my awesome Mother while nailing the watch strap.

Yep, family on Christmas is worth the Del Taco sacrifice. Good man. Watch strap twins.

My daughter and I were confined to quarters due to severe colds and such. We had Thai and Japanese dishes including Pad Thai and Pork Katsu Curry.

Hot pot is one of my wife’s favourite dinners, years ago we decided to invite my older brother’s family who lived next door to join us. My brother who was an excellent home chef came over to make a selection of all the meats, seafood, veggies etcetera etcetera went back to his professional kitchen set up to produce a tasty Cantonese stir fry dish which he offered to share. Lol some guys just do not embrace change or variety. I am ok with Hot pot but my wife’s family regard the meal as a feast almost too good for poor guys born in Hong Kong, haha. By Christmas my wife and I are weary of eating and eating rich dinners, on the 25th she and I walked to a nearby traditional Northern Chinese cuisine restaurant for pork belly dish and simple dumplings as well as a plate of pan fried pork buns. Unfortunately the place well reviewed in some recent write ups was slammed with other diners who did not want a typical turkey or prime rib dinner, food was good but service was shabby. However I am always grateful for all the amazing persons who work service industry jobs when we are out and about to have a good time with family or friends. That sentiment is even more so during times such as Christmas and other holidays.

Ah, that sucks. Hope you both feel tip-top soon, Rich!

Thanks, Kalsota! We’re on the mend.

Nice Hami! I have the silver dial version. I’ve had my Seiko SSK001 on the entire holiday.

Agree! Merry Christmas from Sydney.
