@Scorpiowatchman is correct. If it doesn’t explicitly say “In stock” like in this photo below it means they don’t actually have it. They have to source the watch and expect to ship in 1-3 business days (probably an estimate based on how easy it is for them to get the watch) but they don’t actually have the watch in stock. I’ve purchased from Jomashop twice and had no problems but avoid purchasing watches that don’t explicitly say in stock.
To me a beater watch has less to do with price and more to do with whether a watch has rugged features and can take daily wear and tear. I consider my Hamilton Khaki field mechanical my “beater” watch. Bead blasted case on a nato and a sapphire crystal.
Update: I opened up the case back and I adjusted the regulator with a 1mm screw driver. I’m definitely a novice at tinkering with the inner workers of a mechanical watch but I was able to get the speed down to +4 seconds a day. I prefer not to open up a watch with 300 meters of water resistance and possibly messing with the integrity of the water resistant rating but I’m happy with the results.
