The motion in the ocean . . .

Which textured wavy dial? Some of these aren't even out yet or easily available, but if you had these all in front of you which would you grab and why? For the purposes of this poll, you can choose whatever Lake Suwa model or similar GS wave design you want (including Omiwatari etc.) . . . the option is just a GS "wave" place holder. What are your other favorite "wave" dials?

All of the listed are beautiful dials, but the GS Lake Suwa literally transports my mind to a high mountain lake. It's like a portal that captures the gently rippling lake surface with the case & dial floating not on the water, but just above it.

All of thise are beautiful. Also look at Straum.

GS has the most visually relaxing dial for me.

Lol. I knew someone would make that joke.

#grandseiko, if you're listening, this is my application!

I see Anordain, I upvote

Ironic that you want ocean themed watches and the highest voted one is about, checks note, a LAKE

·

Easy choice 😊

I recently picked up this Islander Northport which has a really great wavy dial. Super colorway and ridiculous lume too.

Weirdly I was underwhelmed when I saw those Anordain dials in person. They look amazing on macros and in photographs but on the wrist it’s a tad underwhelming. That could just be the case of overinflated expectations, when initially saw the photos I was goo goo ga ga😍😍🤤🤤

The exact opposite happened with the lake Suwa. I saw the release and was like oh another GS employee got inspired by their wall around the park🙄

When I saw it in person though, I got it, that watch has one of the best dials I’ve ever seen. The non-tapering bracelet and price keep me away though.

Most dynamic: Grand Seiko Shosho (SBGJ249)

I had to look it up, and yeah you’re right.

My Seiko Save the ocean isn’t a realistic texture, but more of an artistic one. Still I believe it belongs in this thread.

Straum and Gavox are a couple of microbrands that have nice water themed dials.

·

The GS or one of the Save the Ocean Seikos.

Read your comment, checked my email and I had an invitation to sign up for a build slot as well. 2028 for me! 2028, 2029, 2030 were my options haha. Anyway, looking forward to it. Love their dials.

I would propose this Straum Jan Mayen +Fratello Lim. Ed.
