NorCal Meet Up: Episode V Topper Edition
What a day…. Thank you everyone that came out today at Toppers Jewelers in Burlingame! I originally had it on the event meet up page but deleted it since the traction was going too fast too quick. I apologize for those interested and couldn’t come but I wanted to ensure the capacity wasn’t overbearing on the Topper staff.

Event was jam packed with a Kahoot game, raffle prizes and a white elephant to finish it off. It was great to see everyone participating and hope to see the same faces soon.
Special thanks to Rob and Russ for opening their home to us and giving prizes for the event.
Again from the bottom of my heart , Arthur and I appreciate everyone that joined today. We can’t wait to host another event at another venue soon. Get ready for the next event shortly as we will post information ASAP.

EDIT: Also wore my Brew Retromatic on a chain-mesh bracelet. Hard to pair a good strap/bracelet with this model but thought I'd share my mockups on how to dress this watch:

EDIT2: Couldn't help myself last night, did regulation and manual hairspring adjustments on the Alpha. Still runs fast on its sides but its very clean dial side up & down.

I have to say that I'm greatly disturbed at the outcome of the day. Not only did I end up dropping a wad on a Meistersinger Lunascope, but my wife found a 2+ carat Paraiba Tourmaline. It was a very expensive day and I, personally, hold @Rome1234 responsible! At this rate, I'm not sure I can afford to attend any more of these events!

Actually, I had a great time. The Topper crew was great and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. If you haven't been to one of these, you owe it to yourself to go.

I didn't bring her, but she's been on a quest for one of these gems. It was the only stone they had and it was loose. I looked at it for her (advanced scouting mission) before bringing her in to close the deal.
I've learned you don't gift pets and you don't surprise Cheryl with gemstones she hadn't pre approved.
