The 556 was indeed an option, and while some references really are - to me - a reinterpretation of the flieger style, some others are nice, such as this blue one. The dial however is a bit too large for my taste. I tend to prefer watches around 35-37mm, but I understand that not all watches wear the same that's why I said I'm good up. to 38. Being "all dial" this one seems to wear even larger than 38.5, but it's subjective and it's still a beautiful watch.
Heard at a watch meeting a year ago, or so: "I know many people who don't like Tudor because they're homage watches and many others who like Tudor because they're homage watches. But don't come to tell me they're not purposefully uninspired."
This was in response to a guy who was defending influencers and known collectors for pushing Tudor, as they knew that this would ease demand on Rolex.ย
I have to say specs-wise this is probably what I'm looking for! Still, honestly, I don't know how I feel about spending >2000 EUR for a Citizen Quartz watch. I don't have anything against it though, and I will add this one to a list of watches to try in the metal at least. I don't think I would end up pulling the trigger on such a watch, but you never know. The last watch I got was also almost 3000 EUR, and it was a quartz watch... But brand equity matters too. I will think about it!
Thank you!ย
