What does everyone think of the new Tissot PRX 35mm automatic?

It's been long awaited. I remember when the PRX came out we all wished for a 36-37mm automatic version. Then the 35mm quartz came out and we knew that if there was hope for a non-oversized automatic PRX that would've been in that 35mm case.

Now they will soon be available for the public, and the two confirmed colours are dark green and blue. I personally prefer "large" sports watches of this style, but large in classic terms means 37mm or so. Still, between the 35mm and the 40mm there is no comparison. I never considered the 40mm models but I may get one in 35mm as a daily beater, to use as a everyday watch in casual situations.

What do you guys think?

35 is a perfect size for a small wrist IMO

·

I don’t think

The size is fine btw

·

As much as I prefer smaller watches, I saw the 35mm quartz version sometime ago at one of the malls here in Dallas. That 35mm is TINY in person as apposed to the press photos. I was reluctant to try it on. I think the added bulk of the automatic movement as well as the textured dial may alleviate that issue & it may turn out to be something I add to the collection.

There is an ice blue like the new 40mm and a black dial version too in the lineup. Plus a black dial 35mm on a rubber strap.

·

It all depends on the wrist it's going on. My sweet spot is 39 . For me 35 is a little small.

·

They really nail the 70s flair. Love the green one 💖

·

35mm is perfect for smaller wrists because its integrated bracelet. Lug to lug is much bigger.

They need to release black version too! 😥

·

I have a pair of Tissot 33mm powermatic 80 watches I got on sale for under $200.00 USD that I love to wear but thankfully they don't have that integrated strap

·

I think it's a cool looking watch, so there's definitely a chance that I would get one eventually.

However, it's a bigger investment than the watch itself since the bracelet will likely be unusable due to the lack of microadjust and replacement options are limited.

·

When the 35mm automatic PRX comes out, many will sell their 35mm quartz for an upgrade, so if you are fine with quartz, this will be a great time to grab that piece!

·

Too small for me, but I understand the appeal. It should be a great seller for Tissot.

·

I’m hoping Tissot will stop rummaging through Gerald Genta’s bins and focus on a new design this year. It’s getting creepy now.

·

I'm for it. The case shape of the 40 makes it just slightly bigger than i would like, though I still like it. I feel like desirable watch models should always come with enough size variations to suit everyone

·

Textured dials are a complete no no for me.

·

I may try one as well, but the quartz 35mm felt too small.

Saying that, 40 is too big :)

My preference would be 37-38mm, but that’s just wishful thinking 💭

·

Great news. Couldn’t find anything on the net? Where did you get the information from?

I have a 35mm quartz version and the size feels right next to my explorer. Had always wished for an automatic and clou de paris version…so

·

These rip!!

Do you have a source? I’d be very happy to see rubber straps for 35mm ones and the ice blue dial!

There is a video you can find on YouTube going around, it’s in Cantonese tho. Btw these dials are the same as the 40mm auto, they’re not clous de Paris

The case shape and the bracelet is awesome but the hands and waffle dial is a no go for me !

I really wish Tissot would drop the 1853 from the logo, and the text font looks a bit on the large size. Having said that I'll probably buy one. Would love a black pvd version.

I shared a post a few days back about this. The source was from Reddit, a guy posted the photos from the VIP event where Tissot unveiled the models. You can see the ice blue and black dial versions behind. He mentioned 4 color variants and seeing how popular the ice blue dial is right now, it was a nor brainer Tissot did a 35mm version of it too. There is also a light green 40mm closer to Tiffany blue shade yet to go on sale. This was also released along with the other 40mm versions but haven't made it yet to the stores.

Welp, I was already in for the gold 35mm quartz as my gold watch.. that purchase has just been postponed with this news. And now we wait for the other color announcements, lol

·

I reviewed the 35mm quartz version a short while ago. In an ideal world I would like a 37mm automatic, but there is no such thing. The overall aesthetics of the watch are good, but I wasn't blown away by the quality, especially the bracelet. Here is my review

I support my smaller wristed brothers and sisters. I'm glad they heard your pleas.

That being said, that watch would make me look like a gorilla.

·

According to the WC poll, 2023 is the year of small watches, so the 35mm PRX seems to work out perfectly.

·

Can’t wait to get the blue one for my small wrist :-)

That mint green AKA “Tiffany Blue” looks fantastic in the waffle texture! That color, along with the Ice Blue variant, adds to the watches 70’s charm appeal.

Now I want the mint green in a 35mm automatic.

I suppose this means I continue to wait for Tissot to release the combination I desire.

·

I own the 40mm and have a 7 inch wrist and even I think it’s a little too large. I’m so excited for the 35mm to come out and just saw they posted a little teaser for release tomorrow!

·

I heard somewhere that there might be a 37mm version coming out in October. That would pretty much be the perfect size for this style of watch for most wrists between 6.5-7.5inches in my opinion.
