What is "your type" of watch

I know lots of people want to get several different kinds of types of watches. But if you had to pick what type of watch got you into watches and what kind best suits your personality best?

I will not be the only one, but Dive watches.

the idea that a watch could go underwater was mind blowing and it just looks cool

With the handle "ChronoGuy"...do I really need to answer this one...😉

Hard to choose between field and dive.

I agree.

Would have to say Tool Watch. I like the delicate harmony of a precise timekeeping instrument, encapsulated in a sturdy exterior that defends this tiny slice of tranquility from the chaos of life.

There's different kinds of tool watches though. Dive, Field, chrono, explorer, etc

Some sort of gigh comp im facinated by the things these little machines can do

Good question.

I’ve always been drawn to classic examples of a type or genre whilst avoiding anything that’s really common or ubiquitous. History is important to me too, not to the extent where it’s a starting point but if I’m drawn to a few different watches equally the one with an interesting history would most likely win out, especially if it’s a re-issue.

Nerdy, quirky, and a face only a mother could love 😂

Field, dive, dress, gmt, sport, pilot, chronograph, of all colors and price points. No day dates or calendars:

·

Not sure… I do get a kick out of GMTs (prefer caller GMTs). 4/12 on my daily rotation are GMTs. I also use military time a lot so maybe thets why.

Chronometers come in all types of watches, so I’m a bit confused. 😉

Comfort and legibility above all else on the DIY side. If you can't find it...make it.

Yes, but what about the watch? 🤣

One in the same my friend, one in the same 😂

·

I am a field watch guy. I like the simplicity of field watches, and it fits my career (I'm a photographer who mostly does street and travel photography).

Those two in that color combo... what a win! 👌

·

Explorer watches. Field oriented watches on bracelets with a rugged yet versatile look. Think Longines Spirit Zulu, Seiko Alpinists and Laurel Alpinists, Baltic Hermetique, Rolex Explorer if it was less boring

🤣

·

Probably GADA - so Omega Aqua Terra, Tudor BB36, Monta Noble, etc.

·

Dress watch, followed closely by field watch.

·

Vintage dress. With my small wrist size and great variety, they always hit a sweet spot

Everyday/GADA. Close second, field/pilot.

·

Probably dive watches, but I could also likely run a pilot flieger or a field watch as well. Dress watches are the least "like me".

·

Digital watches. I was a teenager all through the 80’s…so it stands to reason.

Seiko snk809 or snzg Field watches?

Push pull crown, no sapphire, not swiss, nahh..

Those aren't old fashioned and they do fulfill your day date. If you'd look antique watches in that category, you'd likely find serious, but no screw down crowns, unless you're looking really high end, like Rolex or something.
