Where do you wear your watch?

I've always worn my watches very close to my wrist. Its more comfortable, feels more natural and its how I've always worn watches. I have a 6.75" wrist and I think this just looks better on me. I see lots of people, particularly when wearing a smaller watch on a strap, wear it above the wrist knuckle. Where do you wear yours and why?

My Mrs & I joke about this - Marc from Long Island Watch wears his almost on his hand, whereas Jody from Just One More Watch wears his nearly on his elbow 🤣😂

I wear mine pretty much on the bone...

Summers are hot where I live. So whether I'm wearing NATOs, leather straps, bracelets or silicone rubber, they all get worn loose and low. Also, I just don't like feeling constricted by a tight strap. It's like wearing Y-fronts that are too small.

I'm in the "almost on my hand" camp. If it starts sliding down I compulsively push it back toward my hand.

I had to google "Y-fronts". Put it this way, I'm glad there aren't a lot of people in the office today to see the pics that popped up. haha

On my wrist.

If you want the technicalities, if you are wearing the watch distal to the "knuckle" (closer towards the hand) then you are wearing the watch over(ish) the true wrist. Otherwise you are wearing the watch on your forearm. That thing we call the "knuckle" is the head of the ulna, a bone of the forearm.

I choose to wear my watches "proximal to the ulnar head."

·

I don't have a pronounced "ulnar head", so I just wear it wherever it seems comfortable (usually just high enough to not dig into the back of the hand).

·

I wear mine slightly above the bone. I always want to have full movement of my wrist, unhindered.

·

My arms do not allow me to wear anything above the bone. I have “popeye” forearms and no visible bone so unless I crank the strap down to tourniquet levels it ends up down on my wrist. Generally I wear is slightly loose so if I bend my wrist back all the way the watch slides out of the way.

HERETIC!!!

·

I would prefer B, but many of my watches always slide back to A. Sigh.

·

Can I see a picture please so I can answer correctly?

·

I don't like it too loose because then it is distracting.

Everywhere but in the shower.

·

I have a very pronounced knuckle so I generally wear above, unless the watch is small and light.

With the bone sticking out as much as mine does, a watch can get sort of stuck between it and the back of my hand, which can be quite painful if I then have to push on something that bends my hand back into the watch. With any adjustable band, I always keep it on the forearm and tight enough it won't slide down over the bone there. With bracelets, I tend to wear them just loose enough for wrist expansion that the watch can slide over the bone and onto the wrist, but just barely. My wrist has to be very dry and my hand closed in order for it to actually slide down. It happens sometimes when I'm walking around or holding something down at my side with a closed hand. I lift my hand up, close my fist, and twist my wrist a bit to get it to slide back onto my forearm a few times a day.

Why not both?
