Which Single Pass Solid Color is Most Practical?

As you all know me and my personal style so well, and care about how I look... which strap should I wear when traveling? I'm not a lunatic, so I'm wearing one and bringing none. The watch will likely be the near-perfect 35mm Timex Easy Reader T20041. Leave other insults in comments.

Honestly, all those colors pair well with a white dial. Olive just looks the best in my opinion. There’s just something about a white dial and a OD strap. 🤷

Brown will almost always fit any outfit. Are you sure you’re not a lunatic? Where’s the doctor’s note?

Yes, self-diagnoses like this tend to suffer from "methinks the lady doth protest too much" error, but in fairness I believe that mental illness experts have abandoned lunacy as a designated pathology.

Or they concluded that everyone has a mental defect or suffering from trauma of some kind. You got sad for half a second, you must be depressed. Got angry? Oh you have anger management issues. Said the wrong thing? You must suffer from toxic upbringing.

Dang, now you made my joke into something serious. Excuse me while I cry in a fetal position under the shower.

Get a multi color strap that includes blue, brown and olive and call it a day! 😂

·

One watch on holiday is the way to go. Light is right! Find the right tool for the job and be nimble.

WC needs to fix their poll photos. I can't see brown properly. Can you repost the photo?

I usually like brown.

Don’t listen to any of us, we’re all still under the effects of LSD.

·

Either take one that fits most clothes you will take, or one that fits none and stands out by itself.

Does it make any sense?

Waiting to vote on your upcoming cloth poll.

Cheers!

I'd vote for Brown generally, but the hue on the strap is a bit casual to be versatile. The Olive strap then is more versatile for dress down or more business oriented activities.

·

Olive, imo is one of the most versatile colors for a good chunk of dials, white and black in particular.

Plus olive goes with black belt/shoes, as easily as brown belt/shoes.

·

Olive with white dial always looks good. Blue would look a little less tooly.

Ah, my photography skills didn't help.

I was originally thinking blue. It only seems to falter when near warmer earth tones. Conversely brown doesn't play well with bright colors. I'm leaning toward olive as the most neutral neutral.

I love this color combination! Don't trust me though. When my son makes fun of my color coordination...

I voted blue 💙 but surely you can find space to pack more than one strap. They're single pass.. they won't take up much room. One on your watch, one on the other wrist. Are you traveling with anyone? Partner? Children? Perhaps they could help share the load.

That's that sorted. Take them all, you'll only regret it, if you don't 😉

This is too complicated and I'm sure I'd lose the thing. However it seems these are all replaceable unlike most of my striped ones.

Yeah, keeping it simple is probably a smart move. Enjoy your travels 👍

I default to sand or khaki as opposed to dark brown. Out of these I’d go olive or blue. It depends on what color clothes you are packing.

Yes, I inexplicably don't have a tan strap in this size. I think I ordered one and I received a different brown instead. One such colored band came with my Vaer and it is as versatile as it is bland.

I choose D - black plastic, especially that Casio that you are showing.

Also, I like your saying "wearing one and bringing none." That could be a rap song, or at least you could have it printed on a T-shirt.

My go-to used to be the olive green plastic Timex Camper but that wore out and couldn't be repaired. That little black Casio is superb for inconspicuous (even to self!) wear when digital seems wrong.

FWIW, the Easy Reader unwittingly turned out to be a great choice as the Mrs. doesn't wear a watch and ended up asking the time very frequently, realizing that the whole "I just look at my phone" thing is a bad idea when on foot and doing on-the-fly logistics for events that start every half hour or so.

I went with the olive strap and it was fine, as if anyone cares.

That great that she wears a watch now. Also, you mentioned if anyone cares about the olive strap? Everybody cares! This is WatchCrunch!

I barely care, and the Easy Reader allowed me to wave my wrist in her face instead of vocally announcing the time.
