AI Generated Watches [Part 3] Mad Max Daytona

Hey Watch Crunch!

This is a sequel to my last post where I asked AI image generation software, Midjourney, to design a Speedmaster in the style of Star Wars. Today, we're exploring a Rolex Daytona transformed into a Mad Max-inspired timepiece.

This fusion felt like a natural fit due to the Daytona's close association with motorsports, perfectly complementing the dystopian look and feel of the gallery we're curating. (You can find daily posts on my Instagram @thetimemachine.ai :)

By the way, I wanted to express my gratitude for the enthusiasm you all showed on my last post! A special thanks to @Deeperblue for featuring it on Bites. Deeply appreciated.  Now, I'm curious about your watch preferences for our next venture into the retro-futuristic/dystopian aesthetic. Got some great recommendations I've been working on since our last interaction, and I'd love to hear more.

Ah! My favorite part

·

Please stop.

Every one of these AI creations are abysmal failures in every possible way.

Very cool

Not sure whether AI generated Rolex Daytona or a Guanqin Cheronometer

·

AI seems to be obsessed with the orange color way. 😂

·

AI even managed to get down the Targhfbdysb of the mutants instead tachymeter, lol.

·

That’s so cool. That might have become my grail watch 👍🏻

·

It would be cool if it measured parsecs

"Humungus is calling to tell you that your watch has come in. You have until Friday to claim it."

I'd be afraid to put my name on that list. Cool render.

·

@Gasanche, you’ll like these, lol.

·

The tachymeter dial numbers aren’t accurate ? Is that parameter programmable into the design ? And the writing also . Why is it gibberish? Strange stuff , I am sure we will be AI’s slaves in the near future if we’re not careful.

·

If you could imagine that image cleaned up, as a new watch, but as a Tudor instead of a Rolex, it could pass for a contender for the next Heritage Chrono line.

·

I just love these!

I'd love a zombie apocalypse inspired one in the vein of The Last of Us.

·

Wrath of Khan Panerai would be cool

As AI renders? Lol

·

Of course you could never get it serviced, they'd replace the parts as new 🙄

·

You are on to something

I just can't resist working it into the prompts 🙈😂

Can't say I'm surprised AI speaks their language x)

AI managed to keep up with the Rolex baloney on the dial I see!

Always and forever

Image generation ai softwares are very limited when it comes to text for now. A workaround would be to include a “no text” instruction in the prompt and manually add text afterwards but I find it takes away from the fun in our case. I'm not trying to design anything seriously with AI and we get to poke fun at the nonsense :)

Thanks for the explanation:)
