Do you have a favorite watch?
Pic for attention. Do you have a favorite watch or have trouble assigning one the “best”. I am love with the fume dial and color of ceramic bezel incert in my Oris aquis 400. It’s also my favorite designed watch as there is nothing like it.
But the movment beauty and design AND specs of my aqua terra and the gorgeous dial and liar lugs set it apart and at times I can’t take it if my wrist. Not to mention the design and finish of the movement. And the accuracy!!!
As nice as it is the finish is on the AT it doesn’t hold a candle to my Nomos metro date power reserve. The uniqueness of the power reserve indicator really sets it apart and it times it’s my “favorite “.
But then I put my GS snowflake on and even the Nomos can’t hold a candle to the finish work. Not to mention the blend of dress and everyday. A dial that looks diffent at different times of the day and angles. A dead on accurate and reliable movment. How can this not be my favorite watch.
Then I pull out my El Primero Chronomaster. It has finish that rivals the GS, movment finish above and beyond the AT or anything else really. Accurate reliable and stunning movement. A bracket nearly unrivaled by any brand. And while it’s my favorite looking watch, how can this not be my favorite? Well out of all my watches (including a half dozen or so I haven’t mentioned) it fits the worst in my wrist.
Oh well, my bel canto should be here soon. Maybe that will be my “favorite “…….

Yeah. It’s cool they are done one at a time. And with all the hand finishing each one is sort of a one of one.
My SLGH009 is for sure my favorite.
And the 9SA5 movement is as beautiful as the dial and case. This model even has heat blued screws!! (The picture below is from monochrome watches).

The Direnzo DRZ02r Aerolite is one of my favorite watches at the moment because of the realy cool design and unexpectedly good wearability, but i also like the Omega Seamaster Railmaster and the latest Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with the hasalite crystal

(Sigh) you might as well ask me which one of my kids is my favorites lol but since we're talking watches my #1 is my Hamilton khaki aviation x wind my first collectible and after that my seiko presage open heart I love the Hamilton for its weight and busy dial and my seiko because seeing the moving parts inside is so satisfying especially considering my interest in things that move and the mechanical elegance of the watch

This is my favourite watch in my collection. But outside my collection I'm in love with some many watches and I wouldn't be able to assign a "best". Omega Seamaster and Rolex OP would be good candidates though.

The note date is gorgeous. For me, when I got it on the wrist at the AD it "didn't spark joy" like the date did. But that's just personal preference. It is a phenomenal watch.
Funny, the aqua terra small seconds in white and blue is probably my next pickup.
