Sweet, so glad I found you here.. it’s like the first day of going to a new school 😂I’ll definitely give it a legit try..

Don't like it, sorry 🥺, too complex for me

·

Well, that is probably the coolest Breitling. Period.

I have tried on the re-edition and it is fantastic (Breitling Navitimer 806 1959 Re-edition).

The one on the pic is the original, that I would probably avoid as vintage chronos are a nightmare to own 😂

Love it !

Beauty. What are the dimensions?

These vintage Breitling wear so well 👌

No worries mate, so many watches to little time 🙌😂

SimplyVintageWatches

That is an original AOPA Navitimer 🤤🤯💪!

The bezel looks correct as well, 125 dots all arround 🧐. This variation was not made available to the general public. You are very fortunate to own such a historical piece ⌚🙌.

Congratulations 🎉💥💯!!!

I’m curious how and why these wern’t made available to the general public.. I do know that the case and dial are in untouched condition. and thank you so much for your comment 🙏

You're case should mesure 41mm, 125 dots or rivets around the bezel and cary a Valjoux 72 unless I got my wires crossed 😂.

The AOPA means US Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. The Navitimer was initially made for them as a tool from 1954 to 1955.

In 1956 the watch started to be sold to the rest of the civilian population 👍😀. It was then when the Breitling name was added to the dial.

The Navitimer is also, without a shred of a doubt, the first watch to have a Slide Rule bezel for complex air navigation calculations.

You have a great piece ⌚!

Wow, just, wow 👌 original AOPA Navitimer is gorgeous! Congrats! My first (and so far only) luxury watch is the 2020 Breitling Navitimer B01 Legacy Edition which includes the winged logo. It was the watch I fell in love with when I was 15 years old and I was fortunate enough to be able to get the legacy version in 2020 for my birthday 👍

Stunning timepiece once again, wear it with pride and in good health!

Thank you for your response and insight.. this particular piece is stamped 806 on the case back and has a venus 178, it’s a late 1955 production run but still without the breitling stamped dial, which I believe came in 56.  that may change the equation quite a bit.. again, thank you

That is equally AWESOME, because you have a Transition Period piece⌚👍! They are not that easy yo come by, pretty rare 😀👌.

Awesome piece. I love the original all black dial. It’s aged beautifully. Take good care of it.

I'm torn between being annoyed cause I am very jealous you own that watch and I don't and being in awe that you somehow managed to ascertain it 😂. Either way I think we can agree class watch, also the only watch design that is that busy and still aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks robin, I’m truly grateful an lucky to find this amazing little  gem🙏🙏

Simply stunning! It's aged well and looks amazing. I definitely want to get a vintage piece or a couple but I'm still quite nervous to get one. I'm hoping to find one at a garage sale, where the person has no idea what it is😂.
