Great news in fact!
A little bit of backstory. Years ago, my girlfriend, now my wife, bought me a Tissot PR100 titanium with a sunburst blue dial (pictured below). It was the first big gift she had ever gotten me and my first swiss watch. I love it so much, and it has such sentimental value and memory attached to it of our journey together; it was a clear choice to be my wedding watch.
It has been a few months since the big day, and with valentines day around the corner, I thought to run the idea of having (relatively) matching watches with my wife. Now, she is a petite woman, so getting her a 40mm watch would be a bit silly, but then I had the idea....
The Tissot PRX 35mm! While it's not a perfect match, I figured it was close enough. Now my wife is not a watch person, but she likes a good piece of jewelry, so I asked her what she thought of the concept. SHE LOVES IT. She was so excited about the idea of matching watches. Seeing her share in the passion for a little bit was great.
It looks like I am putting my own purchases aside for now, but man is this way more worth it!❤
Has anyone else had this kind of moment where someone else outside the hobby can get into this passion of ours? Let me know; I would love to hear a good story.

I surprised my Mrs with a mini Casioak in pink because I thought she might like it and I hated the crap fashion watches she wore and she pretty much hasn't taken it off since, now I catch her looking at other Casio's... 😁

Well done! Same here with the Mrs fashion watches. Yuck. No lady of mine should be wearing a Micheal Kors watch that costs $2 to produce. They deserve better.🤝

Bought my wife a vintage Seamaster Cosmic…she wears it a ton and definitely wants some additional vintage pieces
I have bought my wife several Baby GShocks and she wears them all the time.
My wife had one old Tissot when we married. She now has 4 watches. It's cool she gets excited to wear her watches now, especially on outings and special occasions.
Her fancy watch is a Tissot 35mm diver in white because the PRX wasn't quite her thing. But the Tissot divers are surprisingly blingy.
Its nice to enjoy small things with your partner.

My condolences. You used to have a wife that didn’t care about watches, and going forward, you are going to now have two members of your family with an expensive habit. :)
Related to watches, my wife just has patience......with me buying a new one every so often 😂
Yes, been with my lady for just over a year & she watches all my regular YouTube watch videos, snaffled my Khaki king as her first 'proper' watch. I've since bought her a very nice Balon Bleu for best & she wears a 62MAS reissue daily. She even wears it to sleep in ( we both charge up the Lume before sleep 😂)
Sold a couple very cheap to mates and gifted too.
I love getting people into watches. My youngest daughter 20 years old. Is now a watch enthusiast. She likes to hunt for cool used vintage watches. She recently found this at a garage sale and loves it
