Review and opinions on the Rolex Explorer
I worn the Rolex explorer almost every single day since I got it. The Rolex explorer is the quintessential GADA watch. It is among the most loved watches , between affiecionate watch people. It is perfect for every occasion, elegant but sporty, small but with presence. It is super precise, it gains one second per day, and it is super legible. The bracelet is amazing although maybe it was better a 20 mm lug space ( to have more wrist presence), I use 18 mm straps if needed, it doesnt bother me too much the size for the strap options itself. The clasp does its intended purpose perfectly, the easy link is more usefull than expected in hot days.
The hystory his amazing and the design doesn't change since the 90s, the design of the case is perfect. It is a sport watch but it has a more curved profile like Yacth Masters and Daytonas, and it hugs perctly the wrists without sticking out from the bubble caseback.
among these positives there is one negative. It is stated has a 36 mm but it is more on the 35.5 mm dimension wise. I personally think that if it was 36.5, just a millimeter bigger it would have been perfect in every aspect. I didnt try the 40 mm that is 39 mm in diameter in reality but from the window shops seems a little too big, even if my wrist is 7 inches. A part from this for me it is a 9.5/10, it is my dream watch and since I have purchased it, all other watches are less appealing, and I dont feel the need to buy other watches. Let me kewn What do you think of the explorer, do you find any other cons to it?

Only since you asked, it’s not a watch for me bc of its conservative, dowdy/“plain jane” aesthetics. What I dislike about the Explorer is what you clearly like about it, and that’s truly ALL that matters. Great review nonetheless 🤙❤️

I like the Air King, but I like the conservative styling of the Explorer more. I think the combination of the two would be fantastic

I was looking also to the longines spirit 37 for me those two watches are almost equals, I tried it and I love it still now.
Of course the Rolex is superior but I had to think about it

It's out of my league, but for what's it's worth, I think this model is the best looking Rolex. It shows you're a man of taste without screaming, "look at me, I'm wearing a Rolex" 👍
While extremely beautiful and significantly import in history and Rolex catalogue I cannot see this as a GADA watch for the simple reason of its value and hype. There are lot of places and increasingly so that you will not go with this watch on your hand, cause you will get robbed.
I'd like the new 40mm, but an unlikely acquisition. Great watch. No bling.
Rolex Explorer is probably the most flexible in Rolex’s line of sports watches. One can easily carry it off at a business meeting, a dinner date or outdoor activities. You have a great one there. Congrats! 👍👍👍👍
Great review. I had mine for almost 3 months, this watch grows on you with time. I had it off the bracelet for a month and experimented with straps which was great but it belongs on the bracelet.

I have never put on a watch and thought “why do I even own other watches” but it happens every time I put on my explorer, even after nearly 2 years of ownership

I agree on that, I tried too with different straps but the bracelet is just perfect for it

I have worn it in various places, in Milan where I live and although it is a big and not so safe city it get pretty un-noticed. Instead I have friends with other Rolexs and they get noticed much more. I wpuldnt dare to say that is invisible to robbers but between all the Rolex at catalogue is the least to get noticed.

I love my explorer! I am actually ok with the size in fact I like small watches. It is elegant and classic.
