Wedding watch suggestions

Hey everyone
I was curious, what would you say is a good wedding watch? Something I can wear during my wedding for around 5000 AUD (3500 USD, 2900 GBP).
Not getting married soon but thought its a good time to think about and save up.

I think in that price range you'll be bard pressed to beat a Longines of your choice.

The Flagship Heritage looks classy, and should be suitable as an everyday watch if you want to wear the wedding watch a lot.

On the sportier side there is the Spirit Prestige.

Sportier still there is the Conquest/Hydroconquest line.

There are lots of brands that are also possibilities, but Longines has a name recognition, history, design, and price advantage over many.

Can't pull off the wedding watch but.....Brother, have I got the bachelor party watch for you!!!!

Don't be that guy who gives out flasks full of Amaretto to the bros-n-hoes for putting up with a wedding!! Im assuming you've been to a wedding as a wingman before so you understand. Congratulations!!

Cartier Tank Must XL on leather strap.

I’m thinking a Grand Seiko quartz might be worth consideration. They are beautiful and super accurate. Only about $2500 USD, so a little less savings needed.

Quoting a recent Watch Crunch video; the Cartier Santos Dumont small.

Should be a dress watch to fit under cuff and photograph well. Should also be a life long keeper. I have three pics well under budget:

First, the Montblanc Heritage GMT with the copper dial. Just classic.

Second, the Nomos Tangente

Lastly, truly budget pick, the Longines Heritage release for Hodinkee.

Given that I can't obsessively stalk your watch collection via the daily WRUW or past posts....more specificity on what you own might narrow the field.

A lot of the prior selections are absolutely killer but I'm curious as to what you're kinda inclined towards.  Its a pretty crowded price point with a number of amazing options from heavy hitters.

Tudor - bb58s if you're a dive watch kinda guy or the bb36/41 if you're explorer inclined.  Tudor royal if you like the retro day date thing.

Cartier - tank,  Santos dumont if you don't mind quartz

Grand Seiko - almost all quartz grand seikos (and if you go used a lot of the entry level spring drives, mechanical GMTs, and 3 handers)

Union Glashutte - I think the entire collection sits comfortably in this range with some pretty high complication pieces at very reasonable prices. A particular favorite https://www.union-glashuette.com/en_int/d0074581601700.html

Some others off the top of my head: Baume and Mercier (great dress watches in Clifton and Classima and sports watches in Riviera), Oris Artelier, and Seiko pResage (particularly the enamel dials.  Ask @Ichibunz and he'll show you the 20 he has).

Married 36 years here. Get a cheap Casio and give her the balance. When you marry you give up the me for we.

Presage spring drive would be closer to his price range.

True.  Which is why he shouldn't miss this chance to buy a watch.

·

IMO go for the Longines you'll never go wrong. 😀

+1 for Cartier Tank/Santos/Santos Dumont.

·

The late great Carl Ruiz had a quote from his first boss: “a man should always have enough money on his wrist in the form of a watch to put a deposit on an apartment and buy a mattress and a tv”

Unfortunately I don’t remember any specific watch recommendations!

+1 for the spring drive.
