A couple of these popped up in the Farer webshop on Saturday, and with one bottle of red wine already on board, the limited remaining impulse control was reduced to zero.

Sometimes I imagine a world with no alcoholic drinks in it, and I silently mourn all the unbought watches and unborn children. I guess there would be a lot of unbloodied noses as well, but sacrifices must be made.

Very nice. Looked huge in the pics and the placing of the small seconds made me think 40+mm but it's not. The sub 44 lug-to-lug is the icing on the cake! 👍

Such a nice touch
I recently got the Stanhope II. When I got the watch I was shocked at the stiffness of the leather strap. I immediately dismissed it as cheap. But that was before I wore it for the day. It's really grown on me. The reason is that with proper alignment, it 'lifts' up the watch on your skin. It's like a pair of arms holding up the watch and keeping it in place, rather than needing to stick to your skin to hold position. Now, I think it's one of the best features of the watch.
The Stanhope has great legibility. A quick glance as I drive tells me the time. The hand winding is strong and satisfying. I should do a detailed review for this website; maybe after a month of use.
