I know some people consider them 'cheap looking' but depending on the watch, I'm starting to get really into them, especially if the watches have any semblance of sporty vibes and WR rating ๐๐ฝ

I like wearing my dive watches on a rubber strap for comfort during the summer, but most of the comments I receive are indeed that it looks cheap. Because most non-watch enthusiasts associate the rubber strap with a G-Shock or an Apple Watch, to their eyes it doesn't look as premium as when worn on a steel bracelet.

I'm not surprised most of those negative opinions come from non watch enthusiasts. I've kind of stopped caring about the opinions of those who aren't like minded collectors and enthusiasts for that reason
I am !!
l am with you, I always wore my Sub (14060M) on a NATO. I loved the juxtaposition of this luxury time piece on a $10 NATO. Plus it dressed the watch down so not many realized it was Rolex. LOL .
Iโll wear any of my watches with a rubber strap if I think they compliment the watch. My preference is rubber over any other material.
There are some of my watches that rubber simply doesnโt enhance the look though;
There are some that I just prefer the look that rubber gives to the watch;
Absolutely Love Them!
Love them, get rid of the gaps and gives the watch a great look.

That looks great, what brand strap is that, I like the integrated end links
I really like the look of a quality fitted rubber strap, such as this Everest I use for my Sub, however I prefer this watch on the bracelet.
I also really like the Cartier rubber straps, and almost never wear my Santos on the bracelet, as I prefer the way it looks with the rubber, not to mention that I find it more comfortable.
My favorite fitted rubber strap is the black Oysterflex with a gold YM or Daytona, but unfortunately I don't have either in my collection.

Clockwork Republic, they specialise in making these sorts of straps for seikos. Not cheap but super quality (I did a post on them a while ago)

Looks well worth whatever you paid ๐๐ฝ
Fitted/curved rubber straps are the absolute best!
I got my first FKM rubber strap last year รคnd put it on a Citizen chronograph: I liked it a lot, bรผt the strap color did nothing for the dial, รคnd then I put thรคt watch into storage. This year I'll try a different (rubber) strap.
My new Citizen Orca diver came with a fitted rubber strap, รคnd it looks good โ I also like how it wears. I want รคn orange rubber strap for my Skyhawk.
I love mine. Totally changes the vibe of the watch. Sporty and ready for action on rubber, elegant and refined on leather.

What is the brand of your Speedyโs strap? Looks cool
I love them in concept. I had a few and the strap always seems to make the watch sit narrow and makes for a gap between wrist and caseback or between wrist and clasp. Idk Iโm sure itโs just my wide wrist

I got it from this company. This might be a link to the grey rubber strap but if you shop their store youโll find their black option.
Yah.
I'm with you too, brother!

I know what you mean yeah might be an unfortunate result of your wrist shape, because fitted rubber straps tend to shoot straight down rather than flare out

Rubber straps certainly have their place in the rotation!
