ANYBODY ELSE CAN RELATE...? ๐Ÿค”

I found that watch collecting was a "gateway drug" into collecting other "drugs" (rings, bracelets, cologne). Why do I say this, you ask? Well, the deeper I found myself into collecting watches, I also began to have the need to match the watch I would wear on a given day with a ring, and a bracelet; along with an accompanying cologne/scent. Thank God I don't have to wear a suit for work/at all in my daily life, otherwise, you bet I would also have a: tie, tie clip, and cufflinks collection... Am I too "extra" for doing this? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคช Or am I simply trying to fill the void inside me??? ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ˜… Lol

There's no way I'm alone in this!

Well...at least you got the rings I was lookin at๐Ÿ˜‰

Definitely not alone. I have a dozen fragrances, a couple of dozen stone bracelets, even more fabric & leather ones, more than a case of cufflinks (50 pairs?), I threw out a couple of dozen ties but still have as many left, and a couple of dozen pocket squares. But only 3 or 4 rings and I never wear them - they never feel comfortable to me. And no necklaces... so far.

Which one would that be??? My box is mostly silver (60%), gold(20%), and tungsten (20%)... I can't really bring myself to buy anymore gold rings knowing I could have easily walked out with 1 or 2 decent Seiko watches instead. ๐Ÿ˜…

For me, they rather are a surrogate drug for cars and guitars (both of which I neither have the funds nor the skills nor the space for).

ยท

Sorry, I'm not joining you there. In addition to the looks, what attracted me to watches is the micro-mechanics of the watch movement. Such precision with little, or even, no electricity. That it what fascinates me. To me, jewelry, no matter how intricate, does not have the same appeal. Cologne also is not for me.

But, if you were talking about cognac, brandy, whiskey, tequila or vodka, then I would be with you. Making a good stiff drink that tastes good and does not give you a headache next morning is an art.

Shoes, sunglasses, and collectibles (toys)๐Ÿ˜ญ

It doesnโ€™t get much better than wearing a nice watch and Creed. But I donโ€™t trust a man who wears excessive jewelry.

Excessive... ๐Ÿค” I normally just wear a watch (left hand), a matching bracelet (right hand), and a matching ring (right hand pinky or ring finger). Would that be considered excessive???

ยท

If youโ€™re not matching your watch to your fountain pen what are you even doing?

ยท

Lol๐Ÿคฃ funny you mentioned that... I only have one, so it's not much of a collection...yet. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Been looking at some silver, possibly with a garnet or spinel. Have a few gold, 2 staker bands 1 with small diamonds and a heavier thumb ring, silver chains but no"feel good"silver rings๐Ÿ˜Ž. I did just get a Titanium plate fusing my hand to arm last Thursday but I can't really show that off๐Ÿ˜Ž

lol yep that's why I buy my clothes at Walmart and drive a hoopty so I can spend the big bucks on my collecting, how do you like the creed cologne?

I love my CREED. I like scents that are citrusy, woody, fruity,, sweet, and CREED definitely falls into my spectrum of preferred scents. However, it is a little softer(4 sprays) than I'm used to, I do need to spray a couple more times to make the scent a little stronger (5-6 sprays). It does last all day like 7-8 hours, even when I'm doing laundry I still catch a whiff of the scent. Not to mention, it's also a very peculiar scent.

ยท

I also like cars and Legos.

Don't have money for cars. Don't have space for Legos.
