How did you know, when buying from e-bay, that the dealer is reputable?

£35 for this Mondaine evo Alarm at a Car Boot Sale yesterday! You got a good deal on the Tank there I think

Well it was a private sale. You just judge by the pictures and experience. EBay is pretty weighted to the buyer too - so if things go wrong you tend to be protected.

Lovely watch!

Cool piece!

Missed the ebay part, but I'll let these stay.

Technically I got this for $11, but it was a raffle so I don't think that counts.

I did pick this szsb016 for $83 and that was a great deal.

nah, just kidding 😀. The blue works surprisingly well.

·

Did you get it verified somewhere? The finish seems quite „non luxurious“. But I am in no way an expert when it comes to Tanks.

No but its how they are - I have had many

·

Oh wow! How lucky you have to be.. Haven’t gotten any deals yet, but always on the lookout.

Wow, awesome catch. eBay has its treasures but require some digging for sure.

This breitling colt 41mm automatic from 2016 has been my biggest steal so far. New price whas 3650 and got it as my first luxury watch about 8 months ago for €1850, its about time for its first €450 breitling service but im in no rush with that and its running like a dream.

This past year I got into eBay a bit.

At the top is a Hamilton Khaki mechanical at 38mm. I paid $355 I believe. My girlfriend wears this more than I do so I sized the bracelet for her. It’s a great little mechanical watch though.

The Seiko TV dial is my Frankenwatch. I paid $45 for the Bangladeshi special but had to cough up $200 more to get it fixed. I learned to avoid super cheap ‘vintage’ but now that it runs it’s pretty cool.

In the middle is my Longines Conquest Classic. My testament to what eBay can get you. I paid $550, and another $50 to get an extra link in the bracelet. It keeps near perfect time though at one point it got magnetic charge and I had to get it serviced. The servicing was another $300 (ouch) but they polished a couple small scratches off and it looks great.

Timex Q Rootbeer was like $66 I think and is just a silly fun watch.

Lastly is my Certina EA square. Runs ok, not great timekeeping but acceptable for a night out. This cost $75. No scratches, new strap.

Bonus, just yesterday I won an auction for a green Falcon Eye Timex Q at $84. It should be here in a few days.

I never bid or pay anything I’m not ready to see go completely in the trash. I wouldn’t spend much over $500 on eBay but in that price point, or depending on your comfort zone you may go higher or lower, there are a lot of good finds.

No way!

Yes!!! $19 but the mineral crystal had some deep scratches that I was able to get rid of with Polywatch Glass Polish (not the same as the one for acrylic crystal!)

Bro, thats a "magnifique" deal for a 2021, in good state Cartier, I wish to have something like that with a 90s Cartier Tank Must Vermeil with a champaign dial for £1000 with lucky. You are a very fortunate man. (Love the watch, clean and shiny❤)
