Right watch for the opera?
I think a minute repeater was used to annoy royalty at an opera. Being that I can’t afford a minute repeater and don’t want to annoy anyone this seemed like the right choice.

Beautiful watch! I always have a dilemma in environments like that. Do you wear a beautiful dress piece, and forgo any ability to read the time in a dark room? Or do you just wear your Seiko diver and torch the place up?

A couple years ago I met a very large man wearing a Patek like this.
He was an Opera singer from Georgia. (The country in Europe, not the Peach State.)
It’s sure is,lovely dial.Love the color too.

I was once at an opera where the guy behind me had the loudest-ticking watch I’d ever heard. I could not stop hearing it. Thankfully it didn’t bother my date and she was happy to switch places with me at intermission, and then it wasn’t so loud for me.

I have the salmon model👍 - but my masculinity isn't offended by your wife's choice😉. Beautiful fit and finish, and I think many watch-snobs would really appreciate the brand's watches if they didn't have pretty-much stock Sellita movements. Personally, I'd rather have what's currently on offer, than be looking at paying a grand extra for an in-house movement.
