Hey @danjam76, I’ve been on a few EOI’s and some are more scrupulous than others. I live in Victoria Aus, the AD’s here LOVE the waiting list! I was once told to go on a waitlist for Jelly swatch, then again for a Tissot PRX… No thanks! There are some ADs who do this to encourage favourable purchases to “work” your way up to your watch. If you get this, report the AD to the consumer watchdog as this behaviour is illegal and unethical in Australia. Having said this, there are dealers who actually respect the genuine buyers, but you may need to establish an ongoing dialogue with the sales rep, do some research and ask questions around waitlists, stuff like - how many of your watches have been sold/allocated in the last year, how many has that AD received, would they consider calling you up when the next allocation arrives so you can go hands on before they deliver it, and also remind the sales person that you intend to follow up every 8 weeks or so. Tudor on Collins Street are pretty good, but for Rolex, consider Boutellier on Collins St. I have had successful experiences with both and their staff are kind and respectful. Omega on Collins is also great, I’ve never waiting longer than 10 days for anything there, and they let me handle a green SM before they allocated it to someone so I can decide if I wanted one or not.
Nice… But I think the real story here is how incredible your work is, @Dbosworth 👌🏻🛩️🛩️
Hey everyone, I’m new. Love watch stories, love watches, and love fashion. I live in Melbourne but my wife and I are about to move to Europe for the rest of 2022 at least. Hoping to experience plenty of watch related adventures.
