@T1mberW0lf I owned both, the 300 just has something about it, I have it in a white dial. I have forgiven the dated bracelet, but have invested in an Ω rubber strap too. My PO is the black/orange dial. I will admit the the 300 was part of a bulk purchase of a few watches I made last year and I intended to sell them all to fund a future purchase. Well, ended up selling the PO a few weeks back and I’m keeping the 300. And I’m now considering selling my Aqua Terra too, I find that I am reluctantly taking off the 300 in favour of anything else… It just has this look, it’s a combination of the shape of that bezel resting on that case, with the turned lugs… But that white dial with the indices, the little pop of red font, and the different colour lume is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥

commented on What's your view on the design of Steinhart watches? ·

I’m about to buy my little nephew his first Swiss watch for his 21st birthday. I’ll buy either an ocean one ceramic 39, or an ocean one titanium. I feel that some of their designs are obviously lifted, but for US$500-$650, (AUD $1k+), I feel they represent excellent value for money. In terms of build quality, I would suggest we consider what brands like Seiko provide for the same money. Horrible straps, misaligned bezel/dial/chapter ring, etc. I think Steinhart designs are exceptionally versatile.

@GeloFran what a story! I have often passed those ADs on the Ponte Vecchio and wondered what the experience of picking up a sought-after piece in that setting would be like. The added surprise of not expecting it would have made this such a great experience for you too! You are very fortunate to have that memory now attached to such an important watch. You can relive that moment with your watch forever!

Such is the fantastic variety and diversity of our chosen hobby of watches and horolgy. We can learn to appreciate everyone’s unique tastes. The best thing about this community is our ability to leave the judgement of others to the Kardashian’s of the world, and have a bit of fun… ✌🏼

That’s the sentiment I was trying to convey, just admiring a man’s wristwatch. I’m a little surprised reading some of these comments.
