My First Real Watch

This is the first watch I bought with my own money. I wasn't looking for a fashion accessory, I was looking for My Watch.

That morning I went to work at my shop and sold a kitchen to a guy who payed me the whole order, cash in hand, on the spot.

I had to celebrate!

I went to my local watch retailer and bought this bad boy without thinking it through that much. Loved the blue sunburst instantly, loved the size on my wrist, loved the bezel and the fact that was designed for cool-ass aviators by a cool-ass brand.

Just before closing the deal, I spotted a shiny, golden glow behind the guy's head. I was watching the Sopranos in that period so I asked him to try it without knowing anything about it. I just wanted a golden watch. He said it was the new big thing and that almost threw me off, but got it anyway 'cause I was feeling fizzy!

It was a very fun moment and, almost one year and 25 watches later, I enjoy these pieces daily. I never flinched on the Hamilton while the PRX had to be patient before I started warming up to it.

This is such a fun way to be silly, spend money, meet people, study and read argueably boring and specific stuff and quite simply, having fun.

Have a great day Crunchers and many thanks and best wishes to this weird, mentally hill, disfunctional and misunderstood community.
