Heavy Baller…

Jay Z is constantly upping the watch game, wether at the basketball, in concert, or out & about. He’s a perfect example of how to use a watch to convey a satorial expression. Love him or hate him, he is a fantastic ambassador for the watch community, and us over spenders 🥶🥶🥶🥶

English please

As a middle-aged white Englishman, JayZ obviously has a huge impact on my style choices.

·

Whoopie Goldberg looking good for her age.

·

Ooo should imagine he's in hiding, like the rest of those on Epstein's list... Sickos

·

Still cant get my head round why she chose him...i mean. LOOK

I don’t think people understand this watch. You need to be interviewed. They look at your buying history with Patek. You have to sign forms and be put on a list. A real list. Not the bullcrap waiting lists like Rolex. And then, after all of that, you need to be deemed worthy of owning this watch. Patek can look at all of that and still say “Nah, fam.” That’s nuts.

Who’s the lady?! That’s Beyoncé.

·

Some of these comments are boardering on racist and conspiratorial. Let’s not go there, people. Let’s just be in it for the watches, eh?

Huh, didn't recognize her with the getup. She famous? 😛

·

I feel bad for him, imagine owning that watch. There's really nowhere to go but down. It's like beating the final boss in a video game or watching the last episode of your favourite show... 😜

I personally could care less what this bozo wears. JMO...Enjoy the hobby

Why makes him a “bozo”? He’s an amazing business man, a successful musician and has a gorgeous wife and an adorable kid.

Compared to others rappers who wear mostly iced out crap, Jay Z has excellent taste.

MOST rappers these days are wearing factory set pieces. Usually a piece unique.

·

Materialistic prisoner of celebrity, I feel like a guilded cage is still a cage . I don’t envy him , just his watch collection:)

It’s fake and disingenuous to jump through hoops to impress people that will not remember you when your in the ground feeding the worms . Blind to suffering is what these people display so eloquently

Such is the fantastic variety and diversity of our chosen hobby of watches and horolgy. We can learn to appreciate everyone’s unique tastes. The best thing about this community is our ability to leave the judgement of others to the Kardashian’s of the world, and have a bit of fun… ✌🏼

How is it disingenuous? These are made in small batches for top clients. If they want one and they fill out the paperwork and go through the process, they will most likely get one. Some random, average Joe won’t be able to because 1) they probably can’t afford it and 2) they don’t have a history with Patek. What’s disingenuous is Rolex ADs and boutiques putting you on a “waiting list” or making you buy 2-3 watches you don’t want because of some false sense of scarcity. Rolex makes hundreds of thousands, if not millions of watches per year. There’s no scarcity, they’re just dirt bags.

Listen , it’s disingenuous to feel bloody better than anyone else , “ the dirtbags” by have an arrangement of materials on your wrist or clothing that makes you look like a circus clown. Did you read the bit that says “ none of it goes into the ground “ with you ? Hubris is a sin when you elevate yourself as a legend in your own mind bud. Disingenuous indeed

It isn’t disingenuous. Nobody says owning this watch will make you feel better than anybody else. However, when you spend upwards of a million dollars with a brand, it isn’t unheard of to release special pieces for those customers. Ferrari does it all the time with their cars. The one that was disingenuous was the Tiffany dial 5711. That wasn’t given to Tiffany jewelry customers or Patek customers. That was given to celebrities who might not care about watches and the history of the brand. That was a publicity stunt. The Sky Moon, though, is given to people who have a history and are aware of the heritage with the brand.

Let’s agree to disagree about most things . I see the world on page 62. We are on different spectrums due to our age difference as to what is worth arguing about . I agree about the Patek .
