I’m lucky enough to get to fly aircraft for a living, and the search for the perfect watch has been a thirty five year journey. Who could have predicted that this humble Casio is probably the best working pilots watch ever?
It is the original band that came with the watch. Trimmed to fit my 6 1/2 inch wrist so the tail of the strap doesn’t stick out the other side. It’s extremely comfortable.
That is a great watch! The golden case and the black strap looks good together. Casio makes another one you might like as an actual pilot! The AE2000W-1AV looks like it has a artificial horizon and everything!
Citation is a beautiful airplane! Just did my pattern solo on the 22nd, working towards ATP!
Indeed it’s a gem to fly. My weekend trip went from Coeur D’alene Idaho to Phoenix to Savannah. Then to Tampa and Salina and back home to Idaho. Blessed everyday to get to do it
No, way smaller and lighter than my Breitlings. If you're really in love, I could sell it to you (all box and papers). Not sure if this is allowed so here...
Your Casio is arguably the perfect pilots watch when it comes to a functional standpoint but as a romantic, I like the idea of using a mechanical chronograph in the cockpit. And now let’s share our best cockpit pics! I love a good sunset from 30k feet. Thanks to @dfbosworth for sharing some of yours.
That is just a stunning photograph… I’d love to see that on about a 6 foot wide canvas on my wall… What’s the aircraft type? I’m only guessing perhaps a Falcon?

That's one great looking watch! Where'd you source the rubber strap, if you don't mind my asking?

By the way, that artificial horizon is fake, it's basically a symbolic 10-seconds counter...
