Christopher Ward… any good?

I’ve just come across this beauty. Near perfect specs (for me). But I know nothing of the brand. Any owners of Christopher Ward on here? Are you happy and would you recommend them?

Trying to decide if it’s worth saving up for this one, rather than buying a couple of others that are half the price that are currently on my radar.

Christopher Ward are a great brand. I don’t know the other brands you’re considering but CW are great.

I'm late to the Christopher Ward party as well, but from the posts I've seen on the brand, it's definitely on my radar now.

I'll let actual owners speak with more authority on it's bona fides.

I took a chance on a CW C60 Trident Pro 300 and couldn’t be happier. The quality is amazing, fit and finish perfect. It’s a strap monster! I was going to buy an Omega Seamaster but after receiving my CW, that itch has been scratched. Incredible value for the money. Oh… and it made it from London to my doorstep in the USA in 2 days.

CW has a very popular reputation. Just be warned that this is a caller GMT as opposed to a traveler's GMT.

·

Yes! As an owner of their Trident elite pro Titanium diver and the lovely 36mm Sealander Lucerne blue, I can heartily recommend them👍

The Mido is a “true” GMT isn’t it? It’s just the size that puts me off.

CW have a great reputation for quality for less. And now they’ve sorted out a decent logo, it’s all good!

·

I always associated CW with a brand that’s found on airline catalogs. Until I saw the bel canto.

·

I’ve heard nothing but positive comments regarding CW, especially within this community. In fact, this beauty has been on my hit list forever🤙❤️ happy hunting!

It is a “true” GMT.

Totally get the potential size issue.

Here it is on my 7 inch wrist.

I have the white dial C63 GMT - no regrets! bracelet is brushed all over, tool-less removal and microadjustment under the clasp. The C63 GMT is hard to beat in its price range. I think it easily compares to watches at higher price points. IMO it's worth saving for.

Christopher ward used to make absolutely terrible watches - if only because they used to plaster their entire name across the whole damn thing.

However - their recent offering the Twelve is I think quite impressive. I haven’t been hands on but have only heard good things. Also, they have stopped doing the whole written logo and now just have the two flags.

The general view of this brand is that they offer very strong value at the price point. Since they have now stopped ruining that with a terrible logo across all their watches, I would say that it’s worth your time to take a look.

On a slightly more emotional note - they are impressively making a name for themselves in a very entrenched industry. I respect that and I have to give them their flowers for that. Note the designer of the Twelve came from Czapek.

Incredibly popular on here, but outside of this platform, I barely see or hear about them. I guess that’s the joy of watches, right…

My first CW purchase was a bust, sadly. Ordered the Sealander C63 GMT white dial. Beautiful watch returned it for a refund. The GMT hand would not align on the hour when the hour hand was on the hour. In other words, when the main hour hand said it was, say 1 o’clock, the GMT hand would show about half past the hour. I chalk it up as a one off. I can attest that the CW return policy is legit. So on the off chance there is an issue with the watch, or you find it’s simply not to your taste once it’s in hand, refunds are painless.

Nothing but good things to say about my Sealander C63 36mm (aka the C36) though (an eBay auction win). Great watch!
