New RGM PS-801-EE an American Grail

So after about 16 months my RGM PS 801-EE with Arabic numerals, motor barrel system and swan neck regulator has been completed and is now in my hands, or should I say on my wrist? These are built to order and you pick the configuration and options. I also ordered and extra strap with a deployment clasp, on the watch. The strap with the pin buckle will be a backup. So happy.

The packaging, owners manual and pin are very nice to boot.

Congrats, it turned out great! Did you order that online or when you went to their shop awhile back? I'd like to get one eventually.

I ordered it when I visited and sat down with Roland, I had been talking back and forth for a few months. He was good enough to honor prices from when we started talking even though they had increased at the time of formalizing the order. I would recommend a visit and sit down when ordering one of the watches with an in-house movement.

It is worth the trip. And the area is the home of Hamilton watches, and has the official us AD and mini museum that is rumored to be growing not to mention the National Watch and clock Museum. https://museum.nawcc.org/

Bonus fast RGM has a display at the museum and are restoring the clocks for the Hamilton shop.

This looks like the Vario , ? anyhow I think Teddy did a piece where he visited this maker I was thoroughly impressed until I heard the prices. jeez, I love it that such beautiful watches are being made here, but I would like to by a house too.

Prob bc a lot of what we’ll call trench watches that are either from or call back to that era look very similar. A lot of brands from Hamilton to even Longines and Rolex and some of the trinity had contracts with the military to produce them. I believe in this case the dial is also fired enamel, which is very hard to get right.

It is a tribute per RGM. They often do tribute dials.
