Unexpected release!

·

Personally, I won’t even go to the dink’s page to look at it.

·

Nice but Hodinkee so......🤑🤑🤑

Presenting the Longines x Hodinkee BB Pro

My thoughts exactly - the Ti is something, but still.

I like it, not gonna lie, but Longines BB Pro for sure!

·

$4G? No. If it was $2,500 then it would be a different story. I do at least appreciate that Longines is putting their date window in balance with the rest of the dial lately!

Exactly.

You can source directly in store or on-line from Longines. ☻

·

Wow, it's out so early that there are no five star reviews printed on the dial yet!

Presenting the Longines x Hodinkee BB Pro

Do you like it better or worse than the BB58 Pro? I actually think I like it better than the Tudor! I suppose it depends on how thick this Longines is.

·

Personally I like the size but not the thickness, additionally I’m not into colab watches. So it’s a no 😅

·

Really like the touch of yellow and no stars but 4k 😱

can see them selling out to the faithful but not to me.

·

kindda like it better than the bb pro! and titanium case, not bad but not the one I would go to either so...

No. Not exactly.

I won’t look at anything the dink puts out. I’m tired of these limited edition, blatant cash grab “collabs”. Actually, if I never see or hear the word “collab” again, I’m good with that.

LOL that's a plus point for me the 5 star on the dial just makes it looks cheap imo 😅

AUD$6200 so I got to $4k USD by doing a currency conversion - I'm geo-blocked from Longines US, someone may wanna confirm the price there.

Either way, $2.5 for this in Ti would be an absolute steal in my opinion but at $4K?

Not for me.

I like it, but it's a bit too close to the BB Pro imo and I'm used to buying Longines at under retail! If it was to show up on the secondary market with a softer price, maybe I'd be interested - not sure.

·

It's a shame that #longines missed the mark here. They've done a lot right lately. But a homage to the Explorer 2 or is it the BB Pro 🤔 for this overpriced price is not really helpful but rather harmful in my opinion.I'd rather buy a normal ZuluTime (I paid less than 3k for mine) and still have a COSC certification.

·

At first glance I actually think it's a lesser watch for more money.

The metal bezel doesn't do anything for me, the yellow GMT hand is meh and the date at 6 o'clock was a better choice on the original Zulu Time in terms of dial design and symmetry.

Also a matter of taste: the titanium removes an element of weight and makes a watch (any watch) feel cheaper.

Not particularly interesting in my book.

Just FYI - It is still COSC certified - just doesn't have the stars. ☻

·

Nice looking watch, but not worth the asking price IMO.

·

Looks fine. Steel bezel is cool. Good spec. Good movement. No stars 👍 !!! But it says hodinkee all over the caseback 👎

Thanks for the Information! It’s not in the Specs on the Homepage, but now I read it in the text somwhere!

·

that looks fantastic!

·

A homage of a homage

·

Really, really like it but … it’s Hodinkee so not for me and it’s pricey so, if I had that wedge, there’d be others calling more loudly to me.

·

I have the green bezel and love it. Think the blue is lights out also. A black dial with silver bezel doesn't come close to those two in my opinion, but it's all personal preference. I do wish mine was titanium!

I've gotta correct an earlier statement.

No COSC cert. You're right.

I thought I read in the specs it was - that was a good pick up.

That's really disappointing considering how much of a selling point it's been throughout the rest of the Spirit collection.

·

I like this much better than the standard variants. Seams cleaner and a little more in line with some of the Longines Heritage military watches.

·

Not thrilling or exciting but nice.

·

Looks like a BB Pro homage. Sorry…

Hey @Hodonkee, can you say where you're getting this information about "No COSC cert"? Where did you see that?

I'm looking at the Longines website and they are very explicit about the movement being an "officially certified chronometer by COSC."
