I’ll definitely be buying one but I’m not standing in any lines

·

Kind of reminds me of the plastic Lumi-Knox

·

I think the Lumi-Knox were the 3950 or 3951 color mark series.

·

These look much more interesting than what I was expecting. I'll probably never buy one since they don't interest me enough to go out of my way to get one, and I'm nowhere close to a Swatch store. If they were available online, it would be a different story.

·

🤢🤮

Holdup. It's sapphire on the back... but not the crystal? Am I missing something here? I feel like I don't scratch up the back of my watches as much as the face, and that bio-sourced crystal they've been using is soft. Maybe the anti-scratch coating helps, but... as much as sapphire?

Anyway, that aside, pretty cool.

“Bio sourced glass with anti scratch coating” on the front. 🤷‍♂️

I want to resist the dismissing of this, but this is really not it. There is very little interesting here. The debossed Swatch branding in the case side is the most interesting thing going on. But the rubes love glass backs and some sizable number of young old men care about some ancient dive watch by the WhiteBread maker, so no money will be lost.

·

Don't know for sure if I'll end up with one, but I will say for the Artic and Antarctic I'm glad they went with the No-Rad symbol and the Water ingress symbol from the issued originals.

Also I'm genuinely surprised, I was wrong. A few posts ago someone posted these images, looks like they were right and this is the design.

I think it’s super cool they’re throwing back to historical design. Honoring the legacy in a way (as much as they can with a plastic watch)

·

Ngl I really like that!

Idk I have always loved the fifty fathoms automatique but am not the type to drop $10k on a used watch. I love this. Will introduce Blancpain to a lot of people

Only 91m wr tho, and so it begins.....

Pretty sure 91 = 50 Fathoms tho....😅😆🤔🤏🏻

Gotta agree here. I just don’t see it. I’d rather buy a homage fifty fathoms before this.

·

Yup. I checked eBay the day of the Neptune Moonshine release and they’re posted at $1000+. Ridiculous.

But the marketing behind the store only release has really worked for them. Swatch sales way up.

No one on this app thinks it’s a real Blancpain…..

I have read so many fanbois talking about the heritage in this watch, it just had to be said.

On WatchCrunch?

With thousands of users on WC, I have no doubt someone here thinks so.

·

I was so close to getting the Monster Thread badge 😭

·

At least it a sistem51 .. they could have made it an IRONY SISTEM51.. but at least better then the plastic insult .. wait .. bio ceramic insult of the MoonSwatch

Agreed

·

Coming back to this thread to say I bought one and regret it lol. The MoonSwatch is better in every way.

The "Bio sourced glass" is talking about these funny wheel.

Are you saying the bezel is glass? I know the case back is sapphire and the crystal on the face is acrylic. I assumed the bezel was resin or plastic or something

I have a diamond selecter tool, I could test it to find out 😂

·

Yes, I saw a introduction of the watch, saying that the ring border is anti-scratch, So I think this part should be a glass. Though, I'm also curious as to what material it is made of, can you test it?

Yeah I’ll test it. I know the crystal over the face of the watch is definitely acrylic with anti scratch coating

·

acrylic, the same issue with moonseatch.. .does the anti scratch coating really work? And does the coating last for a long time?

·

I think if these were priced at roughly half and maybe made in a more unisex sizing of at least 40 mm, i could see them being a hit with teenagers.
