Same watch but another color?

Have you consider or even did buy the same exact watch but in another color?

Lately I've been looking for a blue more dressier watch but also versatile and sporty with some good specs.

My budget is not the highest so I would like a watch that would last and could be a good gada and having 100 meters seems like a very good choice.

The more I look around the more I realize that the dresskx is that exact watch.

The thing is I already own the grey one...

If you did buy the same watch in another color no matter the brand do you have regrets?

Do you feel that you should have try something else for a change.

I wonder.

The blue dresskx is beautiful but I'm still wondering.

Express yourself!

I have played with the idea of getting another Rolex OP. I have one in silver, but love the other colors!

Why yes... Yes I have.

I have 2 CasiOaks now and have to stop myself for doing the same with my newer 5610.

Regrets: yes and no:

Yes, go for it: if you really love wearing the watch you already have, a new colour is awesome too. I got my "Digital Glitch" on sale and because it reminds me of my beloved GameBoy Color

No, look elsewhere: I would caution against it unless you really love the watch. One will get worn more than the other and that feels a bit weird when you see it, realizing you don't wear it that much anymore.

·

I definitely have but I am purposely going to buy something similar by another brand…just for a different experience

·

I did, no regrets here.

May i ask what that watch is? The one you have and the one you would buy? Do you have an specific example?

·

May I sugest the Casio Oceanus S100? It has blue accents, similar use scenarios but it's titanium and quartz radio-controlled.... and it's gorgeous.

·

I have a seiko 5 snxs79 and I think a snxs73(?). Anyway, it's the grey and blue dial variants of the same watch. Love both.

·

I pre ordered the Erebus Origin in orange but am contemplating also ordering the red, blue and white as gifts for my 3 brothers (the colours represent their favourite football teams).

Gorgeous watches but so expensive now idk feels like it's not something versatile enough. But I would if I could grab them for less then 150 can

It's a very beautiful watch but it's double the price of the Seiko. And at 41.5 it's a little to big for me. Great quality watch! Thank you!

Hmmm since you mentioned you are on a budget, and if i were on your shoes, I will not recommend buying the same watch in a different color. Personally i think it’s better to go for a different model for variety since your budget is tight. This is just my personal opinion though. I can relate to you about being on budget and wanting to buy a blue gada watch because i’ve been there. I started with an skx then bought a negroni, then later after craving for a blue watch i went for the sharp edged aitetsu blue. It took me a year to save up for the sharp edged though. I know you have a 100m standard but maybe a little compromise you could go for a blue citizen tsuyosa with 50m? If not maybe you could wait a little longer and buy a blue sharp edged instead just like i did? Anyway my friend whatever you decide just follow your heart and enjoy our weird little hobby. Cheers mate. 😃

Thanks for your advices!

·

Same watch, different color...absolutely. Good post, thanks!

·

I feel like it's okay to have the same watch in another color just because (for me that is) it gives you more versatility for the same style watch different color for example I have the Sarx043, 045 & 047 and those 3 watches in terms of what I wear/style matches everything I wear so if I'm feeling green and my outfit consists of green I'm wearing the Sarx047 for it green vibes, when I'm wearing light colors like i did during the summer I'm wearing the 043 for that light blue/metallic silver vibe it gives but honestly it's up to you if you want the same watch different color waves I don't see anything wrong with it and i also have the Sarx075, 077 and 079 and those really pop as well

I own two Orient Makos, one in yellow, one in orange.

Makomako! Great watches! 👌

·

I have 3 versions Steeldive diver black, blue and green. A great value.

Considered? Yes. Have I actually done it? No. Someday when I have the money for it I will, but, for now, I'd like a different watch everytime I decide to get something new.

·

Couldn’t do it, there are so many new to me watches I like out there before I would double up. Nearest would be Doxa Sub. I like almost all of the colours, but first choice had to be the professional.

·

🤣🤣 You are a sick individual. OKAY YES, I have also bought the same watch in a different colour though 🤣🤣. It made sense to me at the time. It still does.

·

I had two DressKx for a while.... A black one that I modded a different dial onto and a blue one I still have.

No regrets. Had to make space in the box so the gray one left. I kept different straps/bracelets on them, so they were different enough.

That's nice to see them both! The blue one is still on my radar! Thanks!
