Sorry all you well balanced collectors, I mostly just tried on GSs, and hung out at GS Rodeo. GS is my comfy place.
Felt too intimidated to go into Vacheron, Patek or any of the other several high horology spots. Was even an RM AD, but I’d need a few shots of tequila to get me in there.
those places give me a little bit of imposter syndrome (“who let that POOR get in here?”)
Oddly, I didn’t feel too intimidated to go into Breguet or the just opened MB&F. Super friendly at MB&F.
Really wanted to try out a Moser as well, but vibe didn’t feel right to ask for try ons at that place.

Was pretty wowed by that one. The movement in that one has hand finishing, which is pretty unheard of under 10k

I walked around Rodeo for a couple hours, then thought to myself - Hollywood Hills don’t look too far away? Might as well walk!
So I walked for 2 or 3 hours from South Rodeo to Hollywood north and took photos along the way. Ok, it was hot and tiring and mostly not as pretty as I expected, that was crazy.
So, Most pics I deleted - but I loved the shot looking down this street.
Some very pretty neighborhoods in that area. Holy billboards on this stretch of sunset blvd

It us convenient that there is a public restroom on every square inch of sidewalk in Los Angeles. It's a hustle by the folks running everything. Complain or ask questions about the state of the place you live in and you are branded dumb, racist and heartless. It's a great town to visit but not to live any more

Yes, I did run into a few random sidewalk bathroom breaks in Hollywood. That aspect reminded me of our own sad stretch of road called East Hastings, here in Vancouver. Luckily sidewalk poopers are not a widespread problem here (yet?)
