Love my 56 KS! The design language hooked me. Its the cheaper way to get into grand seiko, as mine was built at the same factory!

Yes but it ain’t the real thing. I started out with a Seiko 5 srpd55 which is a great watch but I eventually had to pick up the skx007 when I found a good price because it was the real watch I wanted. Did some customization and now it hacks and hand winds, has a saphire AR crystal, a slim caseback and bezel, and a ceramic insert. And I can take it back to oem whenever I want.

As a fellow seikopath, they are not always the best value. But you cannot get the same design language anywhere else for models like the SKX, Arnie, Flightmaster, Alpinist, Tuna, and others that I’ve come to love. That’s why I’m a Seiko guy
