Seiko SOTC: 5 of 6, which GMT to complete the collection?

My collecting approach is based off of creating the best six watch Seiko collection. The six categories of a six watch collection are Diver, Chronograph, Field, Dress, Beater, and GMT.

Image

Here’s the current state of the collection:

Diver: SKX007

Chrono: Flightmaster SNA411

Field: Alpinist SPB121

Dress: Vintage King Seiko 5625-7113

Beater: Arnie SNJ025

I’m happy with where the collection is at as it represents many of the classic Seiko design families. Additionally, I have a watch from the 70s (KS), 80s (Arnie), 90s (SKX), 2000s (Flighty), and 2010s (Alpinist).

All that’s left is the GMT. I have my sights on the recently released SPB411 navigator timer because I love the grey dial and classic cussion case, neither of which I currently have in my collection.

The downside of this watch is the overly high price.

What watch do you recommend? What would you fill this slot with?

Ssk line gmts

I would, however I already have that design language in my Skx and Arnie, I don’t know if I need a third

Thanks!

Seiko definitely has a large selection available to choose from to cover all the bases.

·

Save up for a Grand Seiko GMT spring drive 👍

·

You're collection is almost like the mad watch collector! Are you seiko ready?!?!

Well you could go with the field gmt they just bought out or the sharp edge gmt but I would go with the alpinist gmt. The alpinist or field gmt would also give you a watch from the 2020s

I like this too. The Seiko Presage GMT SSK009

The sharp edge series are a new design so maybe stray from classic Seiko, but the SPB223J1 is beautiful with the textured white Asanosha dial, the 6R64, and near Zaratsu polishing.

Yep, thank you!

A Seiko that costs more than a Grand...

That’s a beauty!

You omitted my own penchant ... pilot watches. Nice gaggle there though.👍

That’s where the Flightmaster comes in. Not a flieger but it fills the pilots watch role for me.

These are all sweet, for some reason the presage line just doesn’t speak to me as much

Yeah they’re great. If I didn’t already own an Alpinist I would go for the green one for sure.

SSK013. I read some of your comments. The 013 is a looker and might fit your taste.
