Jubilee bracelet for the Ranger - looks good or not?

Uncle Straps and Forstner sell Jubilee bracelets that fit the Tudor Ranger. I can't quite decide if I like it or if it would be a bit off. The Ranger is on the verge of being a bit plain, so a Jubilee bracelet would make it a bit more exciting. On the other hand, I like the clean look of the Ranger with the Oyster bracelet. What do you think?

I think it looks cleaner on the oyster 👌

Buy buy buy! 😆

I love the jubilee bracelet, but on the ranger, I’d have to say, I would stick with the oyster. Not the ranger is the same as the explorer, but I wouldn’t put a jubilee on an explorer either.

Also there are a lot of Tudor offerings that look much better with the jubilee like BB58, bb55, and bb36.

Oyster pairs better, but it's nice to have a change for a while and you can change it back later, and use the jubilee on something else.

·

It's more of a tool watch than a dress watch. With that in mind I think the oyster fits better. The Jubilee is for the dressier watches. IMO.

Never a fan of the jubilee even on my last Datejust I ordered my watch with a white gold bezel and steel oyster bracelet. Don’t be shocked Rolex fans, there was a period in history when Rolex cared about what the customer wanted! You could custom select the dials from their catalogue and flip between jubilee and oyster bracelets. When I requested a Tudor Ranger a few months ago, my name was entered onto a wait list. I was offered the fabric, the strap and even a black dial Chronograph before the humble Ranger on bracelet was available for pick up.

That jubilee has no business on the ranger, still in my opinion it looks so much better. As you pointed out, by itself its a bit too plain (for the price id add)

Although I’m a fan of the jubilee bracelet, this watch doesn’t really “belong” on a jubilee. A sportier oyster bracelet suits the whole concept of the Tudor Ranger better.

Imo a jubilee competes too much with simpler dials. My dad put one on his DressKX and doesn’t like it for that reason. So that’s my theory.

Watches like the GMT Master have a lot going on and it keeps the bracelet from becoming the focus at the expense of the dial.

Keep it on the oyster. It’s supposed to be a plain and simple, practical watch.

·

It’s probably beyond comfortable on the jubilee bracelet but there’s something that just looks right about this one being on the oyster. Could be the simple dial layout but I can’t put my finger on it.

·

Odd, normally I'm all about Jubilee style bracelets on nearly everything, but somehow it doesn't work as well on the Ranger as I would have thought. Maybe it's because the Oyster style has more of the tactical, Field look? I'm actually quite perplexed by this.

I’ve asked myself this question recently. I have a Ranger and the oyster bracelet is close to perfect but I’ve recently gotten a presidential bracelet from Uncle Seiko and it’s very nice, though I got it for my turtle not my ranger.

If you’re willing to port the T-Fit clasp onto the new bracelet maybe but if not I’d keep the oyster just for the clasp.

I don’t have a real answer though as I ask myself the question once a week too.

·

I voted keep the Oyster here but on my BB GMT I have the US jubilee with the Tudor clasp option. Much better than the fake rivet oyster Tudor.

·

I think it’d be best with an all brushed jubilee bracelet, maybe buy it and DIY or a jeweller can take care of the brushing

(personally I’d find someone to do it for me, cause I have no expierence/tools/skills/interest in something like that)

Thank you for all the feedback and good points, and thank you to everyone who voted. It looks like there is a consensus that the Ranger looks best on the Oyster bracelet, which gives it a clean and sporty look. I may order a brushed Jubilee or a President bracelet from Uncle when he gets them back in stock, it's always fun to try something different 🙂
