  1. Servicing when it comes to it, local watch servicers will not service the chronograph module or will charge a hefty price to do so.

  2. It depends what model you're looking at. The 3510.50 which you have pictured is the older model and can still be bought for less than or around 2k. The 3539.50 is the newer version with upgraded crystal and clasp and is closer to 2.5k.

The kurono is lovely and the one I'd choose personally, but it's probably more fitting for a watch enthusiast. The CW is better for a non watch guy so that's the one I'd get him.
