That's better.

I picked up this Vostok Amphibia (I think it's a late 80s one) anti magnetic recently. Previous owner had fitted a stainless smooth bezel mod, he had...

If I liked it, and it wasn't an awful watch, why not?   I've got a casio F91W in my collection, as well as far nicer watches, each has a use, each bring me joy, so what's the issue?

I don't have a lower limit, if I like it and I can afford it, I'll buy it.

I've got a few watches that don't have as much wrist time as others, but I don't see them as mistakes at all.

Some are reflective of my journey as a watch collector, some are reflective of my mood at a particular time, some have memories attached, the odd one or two were gifts.

Oddly, my Undone Urban (Tropical dial) is one I thought I'd wear a lot more, and just don't.

I've got my Sumo (green, 6R movement) on today.

I'm always very impressed with how small it wears for a fairly large watch. I'm yet to take mine off the bracelet, I'm a bracelet sort of wearer, but I do keep thinking about finding some nice quality 20mm nato's to put a few of my watches onto, as I have so much that uses a 20mm strap.

With that said though. You're not really getting original designs from a lot of the Chinese stuff..that might be important, but if you're early on then I find the Ali Express stuff has been useful for me to find what works for me.   I'd never have considered a Tuna if I hadn't got and sold on a Steeldive one, for example.

I'd take a look at HEIMDALLR watches on there, they're a bit more than Steeldive/addisdive (the same people I think) but are a bit nicer too.  If you spend the same money as you would a SEIKO you can probably find a nice San Martin or something too, and they rate really well, the ones I've seen are certainly great quality.  I've got a steeldrive Submariner homage in the watch box, I enjoy it as much as I do some of my more expensive watches and I'm less worried about bashing it into door frame, desk diving marks and so on.

A bit more money spent on Chinese stuff gets you nicer bracelets with solid end links, milled clasps and better case finishing.

Was going to say, it's usually because they're not marketed a huge amount outside of the UK.  They're also seen as very disposable.

Pulsar are another one, also SEIKO owned.
