Just when I thought I was over the SKX...
Resigned myself to having missed the boat on an SKX, the retail and resale of current ones is just too much for me to stomach knowing it's a cheap tool watch at the end of the day.
And then this shows up... An SKX399. I have to admit I was ignorant of these until recently, it's a unique to East Asia market Dial and Handset in the same case as the SKX with the same bezel. There's an SEL after market jubilee on this one, which I'm absolutely fine with, usually these came on the rubber divers strap which I have one of in the box of spares.
This one is a bit poorly and struggles with setting the date sometimes, could be something simple, may need a movement, but the price reflected that.
Happy to add this one to the collection
Bit of a Seikoholic, not adverse to a homage or a even the odd Ali Express special, but appreciate the finer things too, even if I can't quite afford them yet.
I'm building a watch up using an MM200 reduced case at the moment so once that's done this will get some attention 😊

Nice 399! one of the elusive skx there is. Need to partner that with a 401 😉 both elusive and rumored to be exclusive specific to the Philippines!

Nothing wrong with the 399. The applied indices give it a bit of glamour.
