What the Heck?!?
Am I missing something? I am selling some watches on ebay, including this Seiko 5 SNKL23 J1. The auction on this one is ending today. When I went to bed last night, this watch was at around $90. When I checked this morning, it was over $800. Am I being punked? I am not really expecting the bidder to pay at that price. I mean, you can still get a new one on Long Island Watch for $139 or Amazon for $148! Does anyone have any insight into why bidding on this watch is so outrageous?

I bought it on Long Island Watch myself for $115! It was an open box that was less than the regular price but is in pretty much pristine condition. I am wondering if the J1 SNKL23s are becoming more rare. I will admit that the only two I could locate were LIW and Amazon; all the others were K1s. 😕

I looked at your auction- A one line description and a single photo. Not extensive, but accurate.
If there was some confusion that led to the bidding war, that's on the bidders. A two-second Google search reveals that it's a $99 watch.
Such is the nature of auctions. They're a beautiful thing if you can get two people that really want the item.

I seriously doubt it will. I think it is a joke or prank or bidding war that got out of hand. I did look at the profiles of the bidders, and they both have positive ratings...🤔
