There is no way that I`m the only person here that either buys a specific piece, or outfit, or works an outfit around a watch. I bought it and instantly, I knew what shoes I needed to go with it. It was time for new shoes anyway, but the watch definitely chose these blue suede Gazelles. I wasn`t going to argue, they look damn good together.
I haven't worn a suit since 2010. Any watch works with jeans and a t-shirt. So the only thing I need to match my watch with is my mood for the day.
But it looks like a nice matching set you got there.
In the journey of life don't look around to see what others think of you because they do not walk in your path and can only distract you.
I think the only thing you could wear to match that Invicta would be psychedelic vomit! As for me, my watches tend to match with anything.
If I’m wearing a leather band, I try to match the band with my shoes. The key word being “try”. Since the pandemic, I sort of gave up on dressing up. When I travel for work, I just wear a watch with a bracelet.
When I find some clothing I like the thought does cross my mind “which watch would I wear with this?” 😅
But no I don’t shop specifically for my watches. I’m not that deep in it.. yet..
I wear a suit to work and sometimes I want a watch that matches and sometimes one that clashes completely. Fortunately my collection and job oblige my changing tastes. I love how toy-like my moonswatch or a digital looks with a suit, I love how any diver with a suit feels a little 007, and how a shiny sports watch on a bracelet sparkles under a suit jacket sleeve, or how well coordinated a dress watch can look.
When I wear a suit I like to match!
I don´t buy an outfit or clothing piece to match a watch, and I don´t buy a watch for a specific outfit...sounds weird to me.
In the morning once I am dressed I will pick my watch to wear that goes good with what I am wearing....so yes, the watch needs to match to outfit for me....but I find it important to be well dressed, even I just go quickly out to run some errands I will never leave the house without looking at my best.
I always make sure my watch matches my outfit in some fashion, but I'm also keenly aware that I am the only person who's going to notice or care.
I've never bought clothes to match a watch.
I do choose my watch based on what I'm wearing for the day though, it is a pretty conscious choice. Like @jcRUwithMe if I wear a watch with a leather strap I try to match my shoes and/or belt.
I usually buy a watch to match a vague outfit. If I want a watch and have no outfit for it, I'll create one. I'm not always the most dapper (I am trying, desperately trying) in a room but I pride myself on my wrist game.
