From my Funk archives - yae or nay?

I have this bookmarked for years and I'm still not sure what to make of it.

I love the dial!

But I'm not quite sure about the case, I haven't seen a good side profile image, but I would be more than whiling to give it a go.

They also have a new dial that looks soooo cool.

2022 Shop Visuren 22

The price though... Geeesh!
Far too much to entertain my curiosity, but still, these are cool in my eyes.

Anyone has any idea or experience with this obscure proposition and brand

Very cool dials! May I ask how much they go for? Can’t find much online.

Nearly 2k 😬… which if I’m being honest puts me off.

Check the brand link I drop there (German only website just to delight us), I can’t find much online either.

Just below 2000 Swiss franks, see here.

Oh great, thank you!

Both the dials and the case are great.  I'd love to have one of these in my collection; however, I'm unwilling to do so at the $2000 price point.

I’m very much inclined to agree, the pricing on these keep them as a distant curiosity, unfortunately.

I'm a tool watch fan, so I like the case. Has a rugged feel. But how do you tell the time on those dials? Especially the second one. I couldn't spend $2k on those.

·

Pretty cool but the price sticks in the throat a bit.

·

That is gorgeous.  I like the dial and case, very unique.  2K is too much. Could be a buy at $500 for sure.  It would definitely be fun to wear but certainly not daily.

·

Very cool, very unique

Just me personally...

Every time I see a really cool, funky watch design, I am tempted to buy it.  And every time I do buy it, I end up opening the box in eager anticipation, looking at the watch, saying to myself, "Awesome!"  And then I never wear it.

Craziness.

·

I dunno, not my cup of tea, but it’ll be perfect for somebody out there. My two cents: if they’re gonna make a split-second track, then why have a block chopped minute hand that doesn’t even reach the track? It’s only 3 ATM and it looks like it’s built like a tool watch?! Why have a date complication if it’s just illegible on the dial? And why is it $2K without a steel bracelet, mineral crystal, and just a Selitta?

I definitely get your point.

I could live with the first dial with no problem but the second I would have to stare at to tell the time, which is not a bad thing either 😁

Ultimately that’s what I think they went for here, a push on the esthetic norm.

I would go a bit more over the 500$ but for sure not 2k.

I have one just like that, took it for experimentation sake and now i will have to find a new home for it 😆

Mohamed Ali dial with all numerals replaced with the letters of his name. Funk at its finest, but it didn’t work out between us.

Experimentation is part of the fun 😉

All fair points and to most of them I would say the design has mainly focus in the esthetics.

That’s also what I like about it, to be frank, but I can see how this might not entertain many of us.

·

I don't believe that I have ever seen a case that shape.  Very unique.

·

Oh I like that a lot!

Cant read it tho!

·

No friggin way.

·

Looks like an exaggerated caricature of a Grand Seiko 44 case.

The grammar of design purposefully misspelled 🤣😂🤣

Did we just found a Swiss watch designer with a wicked sense of humor?

·

The geometry on the new dial, where the off-center radial pattern hits the right index locations, is interesting. That is all.

·

I really like that dial a lot 😙👌

·

Nice dial but they went overboard on the steel for the case.

·

Dig this - giving me some Autodromo vibes but turnt up to 11. 🔥🤙

·

I’m not seeing 2k.  Cool design though and who cares what others think, if you love it then go for it!

Yes, both have very graphic dials, but for me the Group B Autodromo is one of the best and most original watch designs of the past few years, by any brand.

It’s on my modest bucket list top 3

😙👌

Me neither, I’m not seeing 2k worth. Love the design audacity but it’s too expensive, at least for me.

Would I had f &€% your money, sure!

I would give it a go.

·

❤️ If only there was a steel bracelet.

·

its nice but i would have preferred no date for a perfect dial
