Favorite YouTube Watch Content

Curious to know everybody’s favorite watch content. I tend to find that I really enjoy videos of people sharing their collections and going through with a shorty story of each piece, similar to what Swiss Watch Gang and Nico Leonard do. Floating around the idea of starting a channel for fun to review people’s watch collections that they could review. That way you can get a healthy mix of everything that’s out there from all walks of life rather than just the high end pieces you see on YouTube all the time. Let me know what y’all think?

I like the in depth, long form stuff.

QuartzCrisis for vintage

This Watch, That Watch for content with an understanding of business and finance fundamentals behind the watch industry

TGV for his entirely personal takes with a bit of art and design mixed in. Plus his Q&As with Marc from Long Island Watch

Two Broke Watch Snobs. Mainly a podcast but now back on YouTube. Two smart, personable, highly cultured and educated guys who don't take themselves or watches too seriously.

Ben's Watch Club for beautifully produced content on the affordable end of the market which isn't drive by hype and press releases.

Caseback Watches for highlighting unusual modern watches, some vintage gems and bonus content on leather working.

I find channels which focus on the following incredibly tedious:

The latest releases

Watches as an asset bubble

Homages

Average Bros by Mark Almares. Just one more Watch. Kronos Kraze (makes awesome strap pairing to watch case vids). Wrong Time Watch. Escapement & Watch (Seiko fanboy). Peter Kotsa. Harrison Elmore. Uptick watch reviews. Jason the watch guy. The Watch Report. EDC Watches. Spencer Klein (restored vintage Seiko). Cheap Watch Man. Honest Watch Reviews. NMWatch. Ben’s Watch Club.

I’m subbed to many. That’s just a few. Yes, a few. I’m not a huge fan of large watch channels. I like smaller, more down-to-earth channels that review everything regardless of price.

·

I'm a big fan of the "40 and 20" Podcast.

The Time Teller and Just one more watch on YouTube

@casualwatchtalk hosts Casual Watch Review. Great livestreams with enthusiast level interaction and no product hard sell. The panel is often a mix of worldwide collectors and industry professionals. Streams are normally on Sundays and Tuesdays. Sam also posts regular product reviews leaning in 2024 more towards established makers like Casio rather than say microbands.

Kevin of @WrongTimeWatch does product reviews at the labor of love level and is just a regular guy without any hidden agenda. Midwest substance rather than overly slick production values. Catch him before someone throws a bunch of cash at him in an effort to have him sell out.

@ckim4watches has more of a thinking man's analysis of the watch market and associated factors. He throws in just enough human interest material to prove to the wonks that he isn't AI generated. Data geeks would approve.

Cheers mate. Very much appreciate the shoutout and thanks for being so active in the livestream comments!

Ben is as nice a guy off screen as he is on YouTube. Helped me a lot behind the scenes on my own channel. @benswatchclub legend!

Perth WAtch reviews some left field brands, 24Hours At A Time gives a honest review with Mr Bond and there is no one like the Mad Watch Collector!

I’m subbed to Perth. Have been for years. He’s quite the gentleman, and funny. Mad watch collector needs to lay off the espresso lol

·

I tend to watch a few if I get bored by the personality or I sniff any arrogance or smart arseness , I turn over the feed .

The @MWC2020 is one of my favourites. Russel does it so well, in a style of his own, and I genuinely enjoy his reviews every time

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate that. I'd like to think that I would never sell out. I have not accepted payment for a video, and I am not planning to do so in the future. It is a fun hobby for me, and I am happy to be able to make some money from the videos.

Thanks. I didn't know about those channels; I'll have to check them out.

·

I don't pay YouTube watch channels no nevermind.

·

I subscribe to Teddy Baldassarre, and The Mad Watch Collector, ( @MWC2020 ) he's hilarious!

(ninja sounds, end comment!)

·

Along with the many channels already listed I like About Effing Time. Unfortunately they just stopped making new content this month. The back library is worth checking out. I can't afford 95% of the watches they talk about, but I look at watches differently now.

·

Adrian Barker. He is truely independent and says his opinion, something I can only appreciate

·

There is a channel from an Italian YouTuber where people sends him videos of their collections, as you said it is funny to see… TGV started the same format, but it looks like he just did it once (or twice, I may be wrong…)

·

Watchfinder- He did a review on Straum but manage to throw in some education. Without straying to far, he mentions how Swatch decided not to sell ETA movement, the creation Sellita , and the emphasis on "in-house" movements are connected

ID Guy- Be a designer, he brings ups get point about watch designs as well as debunk claims of models being ripoff of Rolex

Teddy- he does good content that's not focused on Tudor, Rolex or Seiko. He has spotlighted brands like Brew, AnOrdain, Longines (before their resurgence) and a mini-documentary of Ball Watch company

Formex REEF GMT Final Thoughts: Surpasses all expectations

This one is pure gold

·

TGV rekindled my passion for watches about 5 years ago. Also I've enjoyed watching Teddy grow his empire as a fellow Ohio boy. I like the AET video podcasts also. Britt Pierce is fun too.

Trying my own hand at YT watch stuff, but Im never getting to those levels!

·

First off, I already like you because I have that watch.

About Effin time use to review other people's watch collections and I really enjoyed that. I think it is a great idea to give it a go. I'd watch for sure

·

Go for it! I also took the plunge recently and it’s fun to learn a new skill while chatting watches! 🎬Also gives an excuse to buy more watches “it’s for my channel darling”! 😂

·

As you will see I watch too much YouTube!!

Watch Crunch obviously!

Just One More Watch (Jody Is Awesome!)

I like Watches (Gary is great!)

Brit Pearce 😋

Scottish Watches (I am not Scottish but Rikki cracks me up!)

Peter Kotsa

Adrian Barker

Ben's Watch Club

Top Tier Ticker

Mad Watch Collector

Others - Long Island Watch, Jason the Watch Guy, Watch Me With Watches, Brent Miller Time, Nico, Teddy Baldassarre, Time & Tide

·

I love the mad watch collector, longisland watch, theo & harris, and JOMW.

Im subbed to alot more but those are my favorites.

One additional note, teddy baldassare used to be my favorite, but ever since he changed his production style I have found his content to be very stale. His last video i loved was when he went to the mvmt headquarters and talked to the founder
