I'd guess it's exploratory as much as anything. Also, having a storefront helps the legitimacy of the online business for many who can buy a watch anywhere online. Just speculating!
Great point. I never understood this until just recently with my smooth bezel datejust. Barely touched the thing and already has scratches. Wull be a point of consideration for me in the future.
If you want a refund and they don't, just report fraud to CC. Might take a little time but you'll get your money back if you want it.
