What's your favorite watch brand?

You have fallen into an alternate universe with no good watches. You must choose one of the following:

Of the limited sample probably PD.

·

I have four smart watches they serve their purpose and do exactly what they were made for they just happen to tell the time as well 😀so I go with Apple 👍🏻

·

I'm surprised at the popularity of PD. I have a rule if it's a Homage brand Don't buy. Also if it has another name on the dial but utilizes a Seiko NH35 Don't buy.

·

Not many topics where I massively disagree with the community - but have to say Apple Watches should be winning this by a mile. It’s THE modern tool watch - the ultra ones are brilliantly designed too.

I can't take this poll

The NH35 is basically an unbranded version of the Seiko 4r35.

They are produced, and sold, by Seiko for the purpose of being used in non Seiko products.

Pagani design is basically rip offs of other brands watches at an ‘affordable’ price. From that list Hublot are the only proper watchmaker and that’s saying something!

·

The first three options all have good watches.

So my first reaction is that your question boils down to "Would you prefer a smartwatch, an expensive watch or a knock-off watch?"

However! In this alternate universe only these brands exist. Which means the people voting Pagani Design are voting for Chinese watches based on Apple, Hublot and Daniel Wellington designs. Which means I should probably change my vote to Hublot 😰

·

I'll take the hublot at least you can sell it.

I hate apple watches and I still voted for the apple watches. 😂

I think they look nice and I am a fan of extra features but I hate having to charge a watch. I've had two that needed charging and they were a pain. Plus the painful sensor bump.

Yeah honestly I don't mind if it's similar in design but if they do zero design work and even rip off the brand name of a car then it's a huge no from me.

Good point. I don't know much about them but I'm not a fan of the way they look and I'm certainly not paying that much.

They also don’t always go straight photocopy, and are basically like Dan Henry, except with really shit derivative advertising copy/images (that often do rip off big brands — though you’re never sure if that’s them of their equivalent of ADs) no visible fannish pedigree, and what. Is best described as what certainly started as a basic understanding of English when they ended up copypasta terms from established Swiss brands. (Pretty sure they aren’t using metal ceramic) I have spent ages pointing this out, because really, I like the two I have, and they aren’t photocopy jobs.

So I too choose Pagani. (Though yeah, the car name/font borrow from Porsche Design fashion watches is weird, but seems to have been an even weirder hangover from when they were Pagarne, and the Chinese brands were naming themselves after ‘pagan’ things cos they thought it was cool. Look at Heimdallr watches for another example of that.) But then I do so anyway. Because they are in my price bracket and are pretty good. shrug

The naysayers can go and tell me precisely which Seamasters these are identical to, with only the brand name differing, as is the reputation. I would be curious to know.

·

I chose the red pill damnit Morpheus!!!

·

For someone like me. I will never own a Rolex, Omega, or even a Longines. They are way out of my price range. So, seeing a homage for under $200(I'm including other homage brands) is a great way for me to own an Explorer without spending a good portion of my yearly income.

And the nh34, 35, 36 are in so many great microbrands with original designs, you'll be hard pressed to find something new that didn't have one of those movements.

LOL! Pigeon holed setup question. Ok, so I’m not going to vote in this pole, as it’s a setup. Apple is a huge disrupter of left wrist real estate, and I have enormous respect for what Apple has achieved, but they are not comparable to the mechanical watch world, since they are in no way mechanical at all. I bow to GS, as I think Spring drive is the invention of the times for mechanical watches.

·

Not a big fan of Hublot but I still like the Classic Fusion.

·

Haha facts tho.

·

All hideous, I went for Hublot

Wouldn't wear a smart watches or homage and DW doesn't even register 😂

·

A few of the very early Hublots were good looking watches. I voted for them. Have never handled a DW. Considering their reputation, i.e. big $$$ for cheap materials, phony back story, I wouldn't say I hate them, but I do have a cold intense loathing of their every essence. But again, I've never handled one. They look okay on my screen and you'd get run-of-the-mill good quartz accuracy. If it came down to wearing an Apple watch I'd just be late for everything. I guess Pagani Design's okay for the way they save you money for offering homages of your favorite watches that you can't afford, but I would also check out Pagani Design Design, who go even further to save you a buck by making homages of Pagani Design watches you can't afford.
