Today I learned that materials other than metal are for kids. Time to donate everything I own except some tools and silverware to my local elementary school.
In all seriousness, g shock makes metal models, but they're universally more expensive than their "plastic" ones. Plenty of other brands that make rugged, metal, quartz watches for less than $800 to look at if g shock doesn't work out. Time would be better spent looking for what you want from brands like Suunto or Garmin than posting here to complain about quintessential aspects of the one brand that sells exactly what you don't want.

I’m not saying that, but if he wasn’t going for the vibe described then there are other options for titanium than a G Shock
Personally I don't like it but I get the intended purpose. Many of us might see the sticker shock but a Police officer, Army, Mechanic, outdoors person 800 for something reliable for many years is a must. I think is cute and all to wear a mechanical field watch for outdoors etc. we know damn well the watch falling 5 feet the chances of survival are quite low especially for the movement. We all know quartz watches are the real tool watches.

You said you want Casio features in an adult titanium case. Casio features are inherent quartz watch features, and titanium is metal. You literally and precisely said you wanted both of the things you are now saying you didn't say you wanted. As far as saying "anything else I said," that's debatable, but I'll give it to you so you're not zero for three.

I said I wanted titanium. That's very clearly a specific type. Not just metal.
If you said you wanted soup for dinner you wouldn't accept a Fanta instead because they are both a type of liquid.
And again I said Casio features. I didn't say quarts. Clearly two different things.
If you asked for a Tesla you wouldn't accept a Chinese E bike instead because both use electric engines.
Well it has the sensors for the barometric pressure etcetera, which force a larger case, funny looking knobs sprouting out at the corners, and higher price point. We can argue about the style (which I don't like), but I can't see how Casio will be able to cram everything into a DW5600 type case.
Really agree. Just occurred tho, that mudmaster, as soon as its covered and mud and you need all those features, the first thing you have to do is clean it off. So maybe you need all those featured plus automatic crystal cleaning wipers

Don’t look at G-Shocks then
Here you go

It looks like the designer studied at the Invicta School of Design to me, and yes, far too much plastic.

Totally unrealistic for a watch to do that

Yeah I love quartz. That's all I have.

Okay so the watch goes on your wrist but carrying that wizard man around seems like a hassle.

You could just Google it.
It's horrible, but I have never seen a G-Shock that isn't
This to me looks like Casio and Invicta had a baby.
Not a look I like and certainly not what I’d pay $800 for.

Good idea but shape wise they don't fit my wrist comfortably. Thanks though.
You could just Google it.
Yeah these exist but the price is a joke.
I believe it is.
It’s getting expensive like cars. All this special fancy plastic.
