Hi everybody! I am thinking of getting myself the Serica 8315 GMT. It seems to be a great allrounder travel watch with a unique design. It houses a CO...

I know how you feel. I’m pretty new to the watch hobby, but for the last month I’m looking obsessively for a GMT watch that’s not crazy expensive.
Jumping from the Timex Q, to the Christopher Ward Sealander C63 GMT, to the Baltic Aquascaphe GMT, to the Tudor Black Bay GMT. And sometimes in between asking myself why a GMT watch actually? I’m barely leaving a timezone anyways. 😄

But to me it feels as if it’s a solid and important type of watch to have in a watch collection. Similar to a diver, chronograph, etc.

I’m missing a GMT in my collection and I’m currently figuring out which one to get. I don’t want to spend  crazy money. I thought around 1000€ would be good. So I came up with the Christopher Ward Sealander C63 GMT, or Baltic Aquascaphe GMT. What’s your opinion on them? Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance! ✌🏼

I have the same „problem“ here in Austria. I really fell for the exact same Christopher Ward GMT because of its brand identity, building quality and overall good reviews . But I’m also thinking - why a GMT watch? I’m barely travelling or crossing time zones.. but the polar dial, the size and the combo with a grey NATO-Strap is killer!

I really like the Baltic MR01 with the salmon dial. maybe there’s a chance to pick one of these up later that year.

I picked mine up at the last opportunity on 24th of April and love it! Legibility and size are amazing and the subtle gilt accents make it special. I purchased mine within the first minute, the shop and the website seemed to be pretty stable - nothing crashed. But maybe I was just lucky.

How about a Seagull 1963?
With 38mm it really hits the sweet spot and paired with a brown leather strap it looks class.

Great collection! Your explorer would be my grailwatch. Btw I am also from Austria, from Vienna to be precise.
