Do you spend more time looking at photos and videos of your watch than actually looking at your watch?

I realized one time that I was looking at responses to the WRUW post and found myself zooming in on the picture to look at a detail before I realized I was actually wearing the watch in question. Is t...

Three great joys in life: editing other people's writing, gambling with other people's money, and recommending ill-advised career moves or purchases. It's calling my friend.

The Vertex is superb. All the looks of a dirty dozen watch with lume that glows for days and water resistant to go anywhere. I've got a small (6.25in) wrist and it is a solid fit. A little pricey but comes with three straps and durable investment. I don't think it is particularly well regulated though so it requires a good setting at the start of the day. If you wanted a purist field watch, go for it. My Alpinist moves between dress and field depending on the strap compared to the Vertex which looks like a tank no matter what.

The 1971 Hamilton issued pilot's watch GG-W-113. I got it as a birth year watch. On the original strap which has the tropic fade. Auction watch found in the bottom of a footlocker.

All the time because it's fun and I like to check my against my GPS.

I love field watches and find myself pulled toward them. I take them to work, the field, surfing, and skiing. Should I add the Alpinist GMT?
