I have been complimented twice on my 1987 GMT master II coke bezel. Once at a mall by a sales person, and once by a friend who knew I was a watch guy and so he probably made a point of looking to see what I was wearing.
Ooof, 2 months hey? I went through a similar phase but spread out over 6 months or so iirc. I just remember wanting to try owning everything, diver, aviation, field, dress, chronogrpahs, you name it. Went through about 15 watches in a couple of years. Very quickly though I mastered the “skill” of selling watches so that helped me sustain the hobby by recuperating funds. Things did stabilize after about 5 years in…
conclusion, it will probably get worse before things get better. 🙈
Having gone through the micro journey when I started in this hobby and eventually moving on to more established brands, I can attests to the fact that micros often don’t compare in quality, nor should they except in the higher end micros. Having said that though I think having gone thru the micro phases helps me appreciate what the main brands have to offer in a way that I don’t think could have been replicated had I gone straight to say an Omega.
